- Limeni is a coastal village of Mani and one of the most beautiful and traditional settlements in the region that is worth visiting at least once in your life.
It is located at a distance of 5 kilometers from Areopolis and about 27 kilometers from Gythio and the visitor leaves there full of images and beautiful memories. A strip of paradise on earth with stone houses on the water.
Limeni, the port of Areopolis, is by general admission one of the most beautiful residential areas of Laconian Mani with increasing tourist development in recent years. Arriving in Limeni, one will admire the Palace of Petrobei with its four-story Tower and its arched openings that bear witness to the glamor of the era. The palace had an important role during the revolutionary and post-revolutionary times, while the tomb and bust of the rabid military leader Petrobeis Mavromichalis can be found in the area.
Most of the beaches in Limeni is rocky even in the sea.
