The Worker Placement with strength in Buru reminds me of Lockup. There you only play a few workers face down and the rest open for everyone to see. It was always the best part to try to figure out what the other players where going for, so I really need to check out Buru soon.
Buru is so much fun. It's also a very lovely game. I have an Indonesian friend who played, and was pretty impressed with how respectful the game was to her culture, which earned more points for it in my book. I almost backed Pest, but had too much going on at the time, so may try to snag a copy at retail once a few more reviews gave gone up. Pre-ordered Wyrmspan as I've never played Wingspan and the dragon theme speaks to me more. 😄 Thanks for sharing! I'm definitely waiting for retail more now, so I appreciate these videos.
I very nearly backed Pest on crowdfunding. The theme rather original and I liked the movement around a board with changing board state. Additionally they have a clever action grid selection system similar to Nova Roma (and I'm told Targi), where wherever you place your meeple, you get to do both the row and column heading actions.
Annunaki has a lot of ressemblance to Scythe according to what you want to do with your actions, but I like it much better. The action selection mechanism is just great and every time you play the scoring goals could be different. Takes A LOT of table space though ☝🏻
Yea! I got my copy of Chucky! Trick or Treat has been putting out some banger horror games! I haven’t played it yet (but, there's am unboxing on my channel!)😊
Thanks for watching my videos! I've never been a teacher but my mom was for a long time. I think being a comedian helps though because you have to be concise in your points on stage

Yeah that does sound similar!
Thank you so much for including Vampire Village and Evil Corp!! Awesome video 🧛🏻
Happy to do it!
Thanks for the list! Added Vale of Eternity and Wyrmspan to my to buy list. Thanks for increasing my collection.
I hope you love both of those games!
Haha yay!! Thank you so much for including Change My Mind!!! ❤
Happy to include you

That's great to hear that Buru handled the theme well! That definitely earns more points in my book too. Hope you love Wyrmspan!
Always appreciate these videos! Thanks for all the work you put into them, Grant!
Happy to do it! Glad you like them

I agree the theme is really original for Pest!
Thank you for your work my friend

That's great to hear! The action selection does sound very interesting
I should have told you that Harrow County also came out this month!!
And that's the best one! 😮
Ah bummer! Sorry I missed it!
@@GrantLyon All good man! You can try it at Origins or GenCon this year - along with our new game - Corps of Discovery!!! Ooooh!
Yea! I got my copy of Chucky! Trick or Treat has been putting out some banger horror games! I haven’t played it yet (but, there's am unboxing on my channel!)😊
I haven't played Chucky yet either but I agree they've been putting out some solid horror games!
Hope you do a silly video for when you hit that 10K! :D
That's a great idea!
I watch all your videos. You explain things in a straightforward way. We’re you ever a teacher?

Fun fact about Alpacas: you didn't get spit on, because that's not spit. You got vomited on!!
I'm pretty sure that makes it worse!
@@GrantLyonIt sure does!! 🤣
I've read the component quality of Anunnaki is poor. That's unfortunate since it looks like a great game!
That's a bummer to hear!
Mind Up is rather „random - the game“ UNLESS you are able to memorize all the cards the other players have picked up from previous rounds 😉
Haha yeah I don't have that good of a memory
Path of Civ looks like it has good gameplay, but I wish they would’ve paid an artist instead of using AI art.
Yeah I thought about mentioning that in the video. I'm bummed they used AI art as well.
@@GrantLyonMaybe if sales are good, they’ll reprint it with art from a human artist :)
Agreed. Don’t be cheap and pay someone for the job.
