Here finally comes the Revamp for a fantastic soundtrack from a legendary composer, Jeroen Tel, it's Alien 3! A game that has received mixed reception for its LJN published association and tough difficulty, but Probe Software I say did good job creating a fitting atmosphere from its source, the controls may have some getting used to, but the graphics feel appropriate to the Alien franchise, and of course, the soundtrack is a wonderful blend of dark moods and even some techno-y dance beats. Jeroen Tel can actually be found in the comments across many various UA-cam videos for songs and games he worked on, as he has done before on previous 8BS uploads, we can hope to see him cross here again to give his piece on the Revamped versions of his amazing tunes, and maybe learn more fun facts with his time during the development and composing of these soundtracks. Also this is the first upload to feature the official name of a Sound Driver used to an NES game, as seen here for the "Probe Software Nintendo Famicom Music-Driver" which Tel programmed himself and has even provided the source code to it! Tel has given these soundtracks such a great identity of great music to these games that many would find tough to play, but we appreciate the work he has done through his career to listen and respect these games and soundtracks! :)
I love this composer! His Robocop 3 music, especially the title theme for NES, is like my favorite music piece ever! I remember recording it with my cassette player back in the day to listen to non-stop whenever I liked :) Thank you for that OST! I never played this gamed and didn't know it was Jeroen Tel who wrote the OST. Now that I was given a new PS Vita for my birthday, I think I know what to put on it and finally play through! :)
I love the fact that, apart from the Opening track, all songs on this soundtrack use only ONE square channel, triangle channel and noise. It really takes a C64 composer to come with such masterful use of the 2A03 chip.
I distinctly remember being on the edge of my seat and genuinely unnerved while playing the first couple levels over and over, back in the day. Great atmosphere.
90% of the reason I ever played NES games was the music. As a kid in the late 1980’s and 90’s I was always singing alone with the various megaman games. I noticed a lot of Probe games that were later on Game Gear and Genesis had amazing music. I didn’t realize how much Jeroen has done but my hat is off to him! I’d love to find a way to program music like this! I used to use scale tracker 20 years ago and even before that when it was fast tracker but can’t seem to find the software anymore. This game has amazing music, even my 10 year old kid says “dad, what music is that? I like it, it sounds creepy”. Jerome Tel deserves a medal for his work and you sir, mr Niko, deserve a standing ovation for making it your mission to preserve NES video game tunes like these! P.s. mission 3 and 4 tune sounds like it’s using the Phrygian Dominant scale in parts with chromatic changes. Im sure Tel can correct me on that, it’s just what I’m initially hearing!
Круть из детства! Мечтаю вернуться во второй класс и вместе с собой маленьким пройтись по этим тёмным тоннелям! Отдельно хочу поблагодарить диск-жокей за качественный звук🔊
This is my first time ever hearing this and now I'm gonna find a rom for this version on pc. However, the Sega Genesis version has WAY better music, and it isn't even a competition.

Jeroen Tel simply never disappoints. He deserves so much more recognition.

Right? I loved his work on overlord for C64!
Look, I'll give credit to the Japanese and the Americans they can make some good tracks, but it takes a European to make really great chiptune.
