Joss actually directed 2 avenger flims. His style is perfect for marvel. Wb hired him, he was not gonna go super dark as it just not his style and warner brother told him to make a 2 hr version of 4 hr movie. He had to cut out many part and stories . Cut him some slack.

Exactly. He was given a fraction of the time and even less of the money to make a cut the studio wanted. He was never going to win. I would love to see the 2 hour cut Zack would have churned out with his material.
