At that point everyone seems to make different mostly depending on what they are trying to do. It’s better if you send me a video and ask what’s going wrong in a specific trick.
Thank you Adam! Very informative. Can’t wait to get started. Although I did order a whip from Amazon it was t cheap. Made from paracord I think it will at the very least be decent for practicing for a beginner so I don’t destroy a professional expensive whip.
This video would have been excellent a few years ago. Learned once how important #1 (Proper clothing) is, got a kiss. The second attempt, I was fully covered, but forgot to lower the sunglasses into place and wouldn't you know it? Slapped my eye (closed) and looked like Scar from Lion King for 2 weeks. PROTECT YOURSELF. #3 is an excellent point...hard ground will wear/break down the crackers on the end. Thanks again, Adam! I will share this video with anyone interested in cracking whips.
Adam, I know this is a year old, but I'm like 2 weeks in, and obsessed w your channel dude! I WANT TO BUY A WHIP from a real whip maker, but it's been very hard to get a reply, or find something good in stock, or knowing who's good and who's not. I'm into real Japanese Katanas, Nihontō. And it's very similar. So so so so many cheap Chinese knock offs, still nice, still 2000$...but not a traditional handmade Japanese katana in the old traditions, for 10k +-. If you could recommend a maker, or how best to contact one, please let me know. I'm assuming alot of them are made to order, and take some time. Anyway thanks Adam, your a blessing to UA-cam! Thanks for all the help in the videos so far!
I got my whip from my teacher, who said it was his old practice whip. It's homemade, but it's good, and it's lasted me awhile. I've only had to repair it a few times, and usually that just involves replacing worn sports tape.
@@sauce_consumer_5239 Oh I didn't know it was the same whip. I've been watching Adam for some time, but I never tried making my own following his tutorial, I'll try it out

Recently found an interest in whips. I borrowed her whip (a 120cm long snake whip) and I've been cracking it right and left. I already had to replace the cracker even though it was new when she let me borrow it. I can't seem to be able to do the beginner tricks you show in your videos. I assume it's because of the type of whip or the length? I would love to get myself a whip like the one you show here to start learning. Would you have any whip maker from the EU to recommend?
My whip cracking enthusiasm started when i was just a wee little girl, and looking at our beginner there... I gotta flex and say I did better with no instructions as a 8yo.
I knew the hat had something to do with protection! And thanks I learned about the don't muscle it part the hard part with my ear and neck and arms welted pretty good LMAO 😂its the only way i learn, the hard way!
That poor guy was me before I started watching. Your videos to learn how to use my 10 ft Indy whip. I watched for your first several videos you uploaded years ago to learn each move and now I'm pretty decent doing my Indy impression and rocking my whip.
I just started practicing whip cracking and I literally made 4 mistakes out of 5 you mentioned.
Thank you so much for the insight!
Then this video is working 😊

What type of whip is that and how was it make? I'm pretty interested
@@mel_163 the guy whos channel youre on has a pretty great tutorial on how to make one and its not very costly

Is it bad for the whip if it’s wet, can I crack my whip on a wet surface or is that not good at all for the whip?
It shouldn't be bad for the whip, but it doesnt crack as loud cause it soacks up water and get heavier, NOT drying it out may be bad for it I think

Good info
Hi. I want to buy my first whip. I like the versatility of a 6 footer but I really want a big loud crack. Should I go with an 8 footer ???
Cracking tips. Many thanks.
What size handle do you prefer on your performance hybrid whips? And do you keep them all the same length?

That was me as the beginner, doing my best impression of an adult beginner.
Good stuff
