I used to watch this TV show, back in the good old days, when, Reagan was president, "Miami Vice" was the most popular prime time show, on tv, Jane Fonda and Farrah Fawcett were every teenage boys' fantasy, Culture Club, Michael Jackson, Air Supply, Madonna, Bru e Springsteen, Lionel Richie, Cyndi Lauper and Duran Duran reigned supreme, and when "The Tonight Show" (Johnny Carson) was the most popular nightime talk show.
2:49 Hammer I must congratulate you on apprehending those bank robbers, I just can't believe that you were able to get them to surrender their weapons by reading aloud from the collective works of Rod McKuen ! hahaha you had to be there
Honestly saw some really funny scenes in this the very last episode . The whole trip is hilarious . Did not give away anything here hahahah love you alll 😄
They then did a short prequel series the following season set "five years earlier," according to the announcer ptior to the opening-credits sequence of the season premiere. My fave episode from this year was a great take-off on RoboCop called "Hammeroid," featuring Bull Shannon from "Night Court" and "DS9" Ferengi Bartender Quark as dueling mad scientists.
' Inspector Hammer , they're about ready to tow your car away ' ' Whadayou mean it was a legal spot after I knocked the sign down ' ' Well Yes but you parked on a suspect ' haw haw 7:57 she is extremely pretty I'd say a fox but don't want to offend anyone
I used to watch this in the 80s. When it said at the end "To be continued" was that just a joke inasmuch as it signified the end of the entire series? Or was there actually a follow-up episode?
Banzi Kamikazi Huh!? Are you saying that the second season was actually filmed before what became the first series from the pilot episode on? I watched every episode when they first came out and the pilot episode set the scene for their future relationship. So I may have misunderstood you. What are you actually saying?
***** What would have made much more sense is if they made it Sledge's dream like at the beginning of this episode. He could have thought of the owner of the spa as a real villain after subjecting him to the workout and dreamed that she was the terrorist, and then in the season 2 opener, they could have found the real villain. "Five years earlier" would be a big cop-out, as Sledge and Dori didn't meet until the beginning of season 1.
TommygunNG It's been a while since watching this but what strikes me is: how can there be a five years earlier nuclear explosion and yet we start from a present which was supposedly after a nuclear explosion.
