- Featuring David Rasche as Sledge, Robert Saachi as Bogie - with a cameo by Hal Needham, as a bartender. And it's directed by Bill "Incredible Hulk" Bixby. A great piece of Eighties Chic. Enjoy!
One of my fav 80s shows. Great writing. Wish 80s remained still today. Too much progression with high tech lifestyle is a curse. Too much P C in this world.
Have you watched Impastor? I think a reboot of Sledge with the main character from that as his son, with Sledge as the Lieutenant, would shred the woke to bits
The Doreau hairstyle was called the peek-a-boo look made famous by Veronica Lake. The name of this episode is called Play It Again Sledge.
For those who enjoyed this should check out the movie "The Man With Bogart's Face" - great one liners throughout the film.
Thanks, fun info
Watched the man with bogarts face a few months ago it caught my eye right after i watched the Maltese falcon again
Hair do's in 80's were FANTASTIC and it bugs me a lot that I can't date women looking like that! 21st century is a race to the bottom, while 80's were pinnacle of our modern culture
@@senben9180 Shiny men's suits, women's shoulder pads and most of the music in the 80's was crap.
this show is still funny after all these years!
That Bogart actor is fantastic and looks very close too!
Could be wrong but I think the same actor played him in a Tales of the crypt episode 3 years later.
Name is Robert Sacchi
Doreai trying to blow her Veronica Lake hairdo out of face is somehow very amusing
Me and my wife actually enjoyed watching this back in the day.
wonder why, it was only the best show on
This was such a cool show. Wish it continued. The blowing up building kicked arse.
It was on opposite Cosby show, that's why it didn't last.
Dori is such a fox
amazing bogart
"Play It Again, Sledge" [November 1, 1987].
Thank you sooooooooooo fucken much for posting this. Remember seeing this when I was 9 years old.
Yeah, I think this is the only episode I remembered at all.
“My gun is going to rust.”😂😂😂
Love this show!!!!!!
Thanks for posting it on UA-cam so I can rewatch😀🙏
Love the car door bit right at the beginning. Right out of the movie, 48hrs.
7:55 I love the writing on this show!
I had not used my gun in a couple of hours. Classic.
Robert Sacchi did a fabulous job playing Humphrey "Bogie" Bogart.
A hilarious "throwback" episode of Sledge Hammer.
Best episode so far.
That hair gag is unprecedented.
This was a great show. Couldn't be made today. Definitely not PC.
phuk pc
a great show. i had all but forgotten about it. glad you posted this...=)
The plot device is a reference to a Woody Allen play/movie where Woody gets dating and manliness advices from Bogart.
dorreau is a hotty
He went on to play in impastor. Another awesome show cut short because people are stupid.
Good episode except Dori effectively wasn't in it.
Veronica Lake hairstyle.
SledgeHammer finally loses his mind.
"I'm just going to slip into something a little bit more . . . cliche" 😂
Such a great episode.
I admit I never watched this show when it ran on tv centuries ago, I think I was too busy with other things.
Ya gotta love the "Instant P.I." pill that most of these writers used. But it doesn't work that way, and it never has. While I'll take all the Robert Sacchi I can get, if Sledge was as broke as he claimed to be, he wouldn't have had the dough or the time to become a PI within six months before his suspension ended.
the great tan, the wax apples - I will never forget: so epic, and moreover: Dori!
Clint Eastwood would be proud, lol
What did you do when you had male cases? I didn't take them!
Classic.
18:57 Not a dry TEAR in the house ?
Not a dry EYE in the house.
That's the joke.
Bill "My favorite Martian" Bixby:)
I don't remember this episode at all.
I guess Doreau never heard of a ponytail.
Durow had the most incredible right little body on her holy shit. Thetes an episode where she had to go undercover wearing a bikini and I was instantly wooded up.
Doreau
such a different pacing from the rest of the series
what episode was this?
"Common man" All these views and the up votes don't come close. This is a hilarious show.
😁😂😃
This show should have run for 10+ years until the libtard 90's would've destroyed it... that's not the actual Bogart is it?! :) 80's all the way!
The real irony is it was all meant to ridicule right wingers and mock 2A proponents.
Right-wingers are too stupid to catch that this show was made up of 'libtards' top to bottom. Not too bright, are ya, son?
