The motor is a "AC geared motor" available in different speeds from Mcmaster.com. They have gotten pricey lately and one could probably be sourced on amazon for cheaper. Thanks for the sub, and your project sounds fun.

@@chrismakesstuff1 did you then just attach the pulley to the motor?
@@maryschuler9512 correct. just a set screw on the shaft to hold it in place.
How did you sting it up at the top? You mentioned the smooth bolts at the top and bottom but I can't picture how it's hanging.
It just goes over the top of the bolt, kind of like a pulley.
