Great Job. Starting mine...you were a great help!
Thank you. Glad to help. Cheers
Hey Chris can you share your contact number or email.
Perfect!! I did it!
Awesome. Glad to help.
Have you measured this things amp pull from the battery so we can see the wattage? You can just put a clamp meter on the pos or neg wire from the battery while full throttle it. Put the clamp on a "MAX" setting too you can drive around then see the max it pulled & at 10:15 I think your videos are good for what they show. All I request is the above, otherwise you show all the info that is really needed. at 14:20 that is a good test if you fully open throttle with a clamp meter too
I don't have a clamp meter, someday I will probably invest in one but for the time being, specs are just based on the component specs. Honestly, those can vary from batch to batch of components, and sometimes manufacturers can over or under state the actual specs.
@@chrismakesstuff1 Yea I know, the motor specs can just be randomly listed really. Not as bad as flashlights or batteries though lol. That's why I was interested. If you ever want one check out the kaiweets ht206D, it's well regarded and only like $30. plenty of reviews and youtubes too
Thanks for the heads up on the clamp meter. They have come down in price, but with so many tools on my wish list, the clamp meter just keeps getting shifted to the bottom of the list. Lol@@gg-gn3re
good job. nice quick and easy instructions. thank you.
Thanks. I appreciate it

Very pretty
Thank you. Cheers.
If you have a list of the parts you used handy would you mind sending it please and thank you in advance and this is an awesome idea

Could the back rim of the wheel, be a giant sprocket. Awesome build btw!!
I have seen some bike builds do that with chain and belt drives. Thank you.

"VEVOR's Warranty Fail! I'm sharing my disappointing experience with VEVOR's Brushless Electric Motor. Despite their 12-month warranty, they've failed to honor their commitment. After reporting the issue, I was met with a series of unhelpful responses, including being told to seek local assistance and offered a paltry compensation of AUD 56. I've been patient, but VEVOR's lack of action is unacceptable. I demand a replacement unit that functions as advertised, not a refund. If VEVOR doesn't provide a solution within 48 hours, I'll take further action: File complaints with consumer protection agencies Share my experience on review platforms Seek legal advice for breach of warranty Don't let VEVOR's poor customer service and warranty issues go unchecked! Share your own experiences and let's hold them accountable for their actions. #VEVOR #WarrantyFail #PoorCustomerService #GoKart #ElectricMotor"
Dude you good!
Thanks Mr C.
How are these holding up today?
Still physically working. I have noticed they don't like to turn off when the sun comes up, but that could also be caused from trees blocking the sunlight
Looks great! I've done my bathroom 6 times now😭. Many different ways but the epoxy keeps separating from the sink despite sanding, dehydrating and priming. Guess we'll keep trying
Thank you. Sorry to hear yours is peeling. I've done many with priming and direct to surface, but never ran into peeling or delaminating issues. So unfortunately I don't have any helpful tips for that.
Can someone please post all the programming commands , mainly delete user code
That would be cool.
Can you tell the num. For the drive handles i need them bad i cant find them with the model num. Thank you
Listed in the video description
The temperature should be much lower. You should never see smoke or even bubbles. To get a good strong splice you need to push the belt against the plate to form a bead and then stop pushing and hold the belt still for about 15 to 20 seconds. This heats the belt deeper. Then when you join the belt push gently. If you push too hard you displace the hot material and you end up with cold rubber at the joint. This will cause a weak splice. Also this belt is only good for about 1/4 hp. Not the best choice for that lathe.
Thanks for your comment.
Im working on something for an at home escape room. Can you provide more info for where i can find or make that same type of motor please? It looks awesome though. Its the best thing I've seen for what i need. Hope you can help. New subscriber
The motor is a "AC geared motor" available in different speeds from Mcmaster.com. They have gotten pricey lately and one could probably be sourced on amazon for cheaper. Thanks for the sub, and your project sounds fun.
@chrismakesstuff1 thank you for the prompt reply. I will check it out.
@@chrismakesstuff1 did you then just attach the pulley to the motor?
@@maryschuler9512 correct. just a set screw on the shaft to hold it in place.
I always put in inner tubes, like we always had in the fifties. They're not hard to break down, and that is the proper way to do it if you don't want to buy a new tubeless tire.
Inner tubes are another option. But inner tubes will pop if you run over a nail or spike, slime will just seal it.
oh yea? well back in the 1850s we just used wooden wheels!
Lol. Termites were the biggest concern back then.@@gg-gn3re
Yup, on burning the urathain. I'm going to attempt soon. I've worked PVC shaping, and the thing with PVC is patience or it turns black and only flexy in the small area you heated. I have an old band saw, I got some new wheels for but dont fit...to long, so I will be giving this a shot. It will only have to stretch going on and not constantly agitated like your issue. I'm glad you got it going, Im jealous ...your laith❤😂. Whish me luck!!
It's not too bad a process, a little bit of trial and error is to be expected
You don't just put more in for good measure. There are specific ratios there because that's the set amount.
Wrong.
Can you switch the wire adaptor to any type of addaptor and would it be able to connect to other brand throttles key ignitions etc. Also video was very helpful thanks
Short answer is yes and no. I've changed connectors when I changed from twist to thumb throttle, but I've run into compatibility issues with other setups. I don't remember off hand which ones didn't work but hopefully someone can chime in and help with the specifics. Cheers
@@chrismakesstuff1 thanks that’s verry helpful
Well the "door lock" switch is the key in the throttle, that literally just needs to be shorted to be on. So you can use any on/off switch. Then the throttle is 3 wires, but there's no telling what resistances it is set to, for example: on one motor it can be like 10 to 1000 ohms and another could be 2000 to 4000 ohms it really doesn't matter. When you are designing the internal components to read the resistance sent by the throttle you can just say 10 ohms = 10% power OR 1000 ohms = 10% power it doesn't matter at all so the compatibility can be all over the place. So to be compatible you need something that is similar range I guess They usually are pretty similar so when you buy a separate one it should be "suitable for most" of them
What are the exact battery specs I would need for my 2000w 48V motor kit?
Battery specs are discussed in the video
Did you know there blind and go off of lights
Interesting. I didn't know that.
I ordered a 3 inch lift kit for 99-06 gmc 2wd and it came with 2 inch lift blocks, i installed it and it didn’t lift it?
This is a review for the 4x4 lift. I've never worked with the 2wd lift so I can't really contribute.
This is a great post. I my case less is more. For a simpleton like me (lol), it would be better to just get a kit. But there are advanced DYIer that will love this.
Thank you. When I first started working with Epoxy, I too used kits. Then I realized I was essentially paying 5x more for fancy packaging. There is no wrong way to do it either kit or custom.
I'm a 74 yr old grandma... I did it!!! Thank you so much
That's awesome. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for sharing your video. I enjoyed it.
Thanks for watching. Cheers.
Tanks alot! Regards from Sweden.
No problem. Thanks for watching. I appreciate the views from the country that made some of the best cars, saab.
I have a question when you strip down the wires to change the adapter do you have to solder or can you use electrical tape or something?
Technically you don't have to solder, but I'd suggest it on anything that moves like a vehicle. Solder has less electrical resistance and won't rattle loose.
definitely solder the connections, do not just use tape lol these bullet plugs used are good for <15 amps (prob 10 most) so be careful before using them for something like this 30-40 amps use the "battery quick connect 50amp" ones they are ugly 2 plug and grey. OR a MC4 connector for solar which are good 30-40 amps. I don't know of any better ones, unfortunately most connectors are terrible for anything over 10 amps.
I followed the exact instructions and it still is not working. Lol
Could be as simple as 1 button not quick enough or maybe a faulty unit, hard to say.
@@chrismakesstuff1 I wish I could show you a video
Have you did a run time ? How long the battery would last since adding the second motor?
Run time depends a lot on battery size 3ah, 5ah, 8ah for example. Also weight, water current, etc. Roughly speaking, a 5ah on the single motor using intermittently lasted 4 hrs.
Thank you
great instructions. Even this 74 grandma could do it. Thank you so much ♥️
Thank you. Glad I could help.
If the battery is 40 amps could I run it on my 2000w 43 amp rated motor or not? Im purchasing the same exact battery for my kunray 2000w kit and i see u hage the vevor. If so, thank you very much🙏🏾
I would think it would be ok.
@@chrismakesstuff1 How is the battery holding up?
The best. Thank you.
Cheers
A piece of junk and their service is worse than their product. Don't waste your time.
Sorry to hear you're experience varied. I've been using it for over a year, and I'm happy with it.
Dude! Take out the strings of your hoodie! Accident waiting to happen.
Thanks
Why won’t it lock after it’s installed. It’s like something is caught up in the mechanism?
Very well could be. It's a tiny motor driving the mechanism, and if it's not mounted properly or with enough clearance it will struggle.
I've enjoyed watching these videos hopefully I'll build one this summer it be helpfully in New Hampshire's winters thanks
Thanks. I bet a setup like this would work well for plowing snow.
I just put this on my 05 with the premium shocks like 200 bucks great deal
I really like their kits. The only thing I wish they would include are the bolts for the torsion keys. In the rust belt, the threads have a habit of disappearing.
People don’t buy anything with a plastic trans unless you’re a mechanic 😅 And you don’t mind cleaning after every use really good 😢
The plastic trans is less than ideal. I clean off my machines after every use, and still would not recommend a plastic transmission.
Bro rough country should be paying you - you inspired me to get a kit
Lol. Thanks. Unfortunately with 1500 subscribers, this channel isn't big enough for companies care about.
Best help ever! Was about to give up on mine and return it
Glad you found it helpful. Cheers
i cant find a single good 3000 w motor review im sure it would be a viewed video
Most of the 3000w + motor kits run on 72v systems. The cost of 72v battery packs are significantly more expensive than 48v. I'm guessing that is why those diy builds are not as popular.
Nice! How has it held up? Particularly in the sink?
It's held up great to date. No cracks or hazing, but like all Epoxy it will "yellow" over time. It's not the vibrant white, but looks more like natural rock.
@@chrismakesstuff1 thank you!!
Almost looks factory! Fantastic build mate 👍🏼
Thank you
Body looks great👍🏼 I would go with dark Grey
Dark Grey would have looked cool, I just used what I had sitting around
This is a really intuitive and smart build! There are a few on UA-cam but I like yours the best, easy to follow and simple to understand, Personally I would make the frame longer so you have about 4 to 6 inches between the rear wheel sets, only reason is I would then have a small bed on the back to carry wood, tools etc. thank you from Australia👍🏼
Thank you. I appreciate it. In hindsight I should have made the frame 1-2" longer. When the tires are fully inflated they just barely touch.
