your content is helping me with IIMs interviews as I have to go for consulting roles, I searched about guestimates and your contents are truly helping me!
Cleaning chemicals for laptops and phones could be a good segment to diversify into. People may pay much higher for cleaning expensive electronics than bathroom floor. Car wash liquid also might also net more money
Very very helpful videos. Please create a playlist on cost benefit analysis for M&A cases vs Strategic Partnerships vs Starting from Scratch for any suitable industry.
Amazing videos, got access to your video a bit too late. But absolutely in love with the topics and way you walk through your approach. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to more such case studies
Hello Soumi Ma'am your case studies are of great help. Please do continue making just videos. I actually looked around a lot for case studies solved and explained in a simple way but didn't find much help. But the way you have created these case studies is really something which I am able to understand. Thanks a lot for that! So please keep creating such content to help people like me.
As a management student, I found your case studies are very helpful. Keep making this kind of videos. While I have request. Can you also came up with some of the employee engagement case studies? because major firm do faces employee engagement issues. So how does management consultants solve this kind of case studies?
Hi Soumi, these videos are very useful for understanding the thought process. I just started practicing case studies. Would love recommendations on books to use for the same. Also, keep these videos coming. Thanks!
Hi Soumi, Considering which industry to diversity, I feel we can consider economies of scope related industries to get into since both the current chemical industry and the industry to get in will share the machinery and other commonalities for manufacturing the products. This can happen when the company thinks to diversify on its own to another industry.
Hi Soumi ma'am. Thanks for this video. Can you please make a video on "master these math concepts for consulting." Please separate for real world mental math consulting and not the gmat/gre version.
Heyy soumi, your videos are super helpful, clear, nice structure and easy to understand.... Bring more videos on live solving case studies for better understanding and applications of different frameworks... Keep going 👍👍👍
Hello Maam, below was my strategy: Make list of things company already has; say Manufacturing unit, customers, retailers, logistics etc and write them in a column(C1). Then write the different new things it can diversify to.., maybe setup a Fertilizer processing unit, or a Perfume manufc. unit and map each of the things in C to these to see if it is profitable and useful. This way pin point to 2,3 industries. THen do market sizing of those industries; need of customers, entry barriers, competitors products and growth last 5-10 years, cost in advertising and branding, cost of setting additional shops if req. Kindly help if any improvement required in the process ma'am. I might have a consulting pi next week, and your videos have really been helpful for me! Thanks a lot, and please do continue!
Hi Soumi di, How do I check market and industry trends and growth rate apart from paid subscriptions of Statista, IBF etc? It will be really helpful if you can recommend some sources where we can check how industries and markets are performing and will perform in future, like you mentioned some agencies for expert interviews in your previous videos. Also, if you can make more videos on the real cases that you solved at your consultancy firm, it will be great. Thank you. Love your videos. ❤️
I think it is quite difficult to get reliable data from free sources these days. For company settings usually u should have access to the paid data bases
Industry related analysis/commentary is part of almost every annual report, which can serve as a good starting point. You can check them to get some idea about the growth rates of different verticals in which a particular company operates. For example, if want to know the growth rate of brick and mortar Retail in India, then you can check DMart's annual report to get some numbers.
Very informative @Insider Gyaan! 👍🏻👍🏻 Please do more such case studies based Videos!! What if one company wants to grow within it's own segment? Can consultants help them also??? I'm not preparing for any interview (to crack), but for my knowledge I searched for a case study months ago and from then onwards have been your subscriber! Please continue this awesome work! :)
soumi didi, first of all I would like to thank you for taking out your valuable time and bringing such good content to us. Few days back I have joined some strategy courses on coursera and I was able to relate this case with what I have studied so far and feel confident.

I will tell you the reality of jee toppers they become day to day boring person and they go to classes just for the sake of attendance the teachers and students were not interested because they are frustrated with their own personal life if iit is premiere Institute then where is innovation and creativity in those iit and many of the iit bunk because of unwanted pressure given by indian parents teachers and soceity and school toppers+jee toppers work for people who are academic dropouts failure+non iitian and the jee toppers parentsonly show their status as rich and genius but inside they are dead and live as liability the bank benchers +failure in academics fly high in sky because I am a failure who is not from iit Or any premiere institutions I am a very average guy who scored 5.6 cgpa in class 10 and did class 7 twice and i also attended coaching classes during my teenage but i sat in the last bench of iitjee coaching classes because I knew that those competitive exams will not decide my life
@@InsiderGyaan i'm not from IIT or any premier institutions to be honest first and foremost i am guy who scored class 12 64.6% did college from private engineering college which is not even recognised because I focus on real life skills which matters the most and i am a C student who knows real life skills and i knew since school that this Indian education system will not decide my life and future so i am hunting for myself to become a better person and i am not like rest of the people who go sit in a high paying job which is the biggest threat to dignity and life
This thought (in general) is in trend these days. And this thought (in specific) is influenced by the trend of this thought (in general) + the frustration of multiple academic failure. However this thought (in both general and specific) is baseless. However, if these failures are utilised for learning and taining hard (ofcourse in the tough condition that results from failure), one can for sure significantly outgrow most of the IITians. But that doesn't mean that iitians didn't do well, rather mean you just did extraordinary(look around, very few are doing it.. So ofcourse it is extraordinary) Positivity of attitude is the first symptom of the progress. P. S. I am scored 65% in 12th..6.4CGPA in 10th, and 62% in Btech(tier 3)... But I am well... And I see excellent learning at iits.
