Great show as always, guys. I'd like to make a request however. If you guys are ever short on topics (which I highly doubt) then I would love to hear an in-depth episode about Coliseum Video. The origins, tape ideas, who and how matches were decided for inclusion, etc. Those tapes were godsends to me when I was a kid and I collect them now as an adult.
@@Stevenirons Wow! The reason I remember "Walker Texas Ranger" was because I would always see commercials for it and "La Femme Nikita" all the time during Monday Night Raw commercial breaks.
Conrad couldn't bring himself to say that Vince sold Icopro for an unsigned birthday card, a can of Hormel chili and a clean pair of underwear. Glad they didn't Schiavone this upload like they did the WHW youtube video this week.
Listening to Conrad describe Dave Meltzers opinion on the Jerry Lawler match, it makes me wonder if Dave forgets that the product at the time was geared towards little kids too, not just adults writing newsletters in their crummy apartment. I’m not saying it was a “great match” but watching it when I was 5 years old, I was entertained and I think that’s the point. Like Bruce said, VARIETY. As an adult watching it, yeah it’s lame, but that’s more to my point that it’s not for me as an adult, it was for me as a little kid, who was a huge part of their audience at the time. That’s why I’m not a big fan of critics in general. They review everything the same way, but not everything is made the same way or for the same people, so why review it like it is. It’s like a critic complaining that there’s poor character development in the new Godzilla movie. I’m sorry, but if you’re actually paying money to see that movie, not only do you know what you’re getting, but you’re also going to see two giant cgi monsters tear it up, not learn about some characters backstory. You don’t critique a movie like that the same way you critique an on the nose drama. Same applies here imo
Dr. Tom Prichard was in the Heavenly Bodies with The Gigolo Jimmy Del Ray. They had cool music. Then to the Body Donnas for about 4 minutes. Then a Referee....that is all.
Diesel/Kevin Nash was an unstoppable person at the 94 Royal Rumble and the 94 Survivor Series eliminating people left and right. This was the beginning of Nash putting dominant politics in pro wrestling. Owen Hart has put on a dramatic performance during the Bret Hart Bob Backlund match by his uncontrollable crying and deep regret on turning on his brother Bret by pleading with his mom and dad (Stu and Helen Hart) to help out his brother. But fooled everyone by running away from the ring.

This show had it all. I rated it a 8/10. I loved it. My favorite match was the submission match. It was interesting that Backlund would beat Bret Hart here but about 75 hours later that Diesel would win it. It felt like they just did the change to sell tickets for Madison Square Garden. I thought Alundra Blayze vs Bull Nakano should have happened at Survivor Series. It would have been the only title change that night. Lawler vs Doink Elimination Match was funny as Bruce said it should have been. As I watched it back, that match could have had the Super Mario Brothers music playing the background during the chase with Lawler and the little people.
