    1:22 This is an example of a somewhat hidden, built-in feature LEGO created: a wire 3mm across for clipping to O- and C-clips. I have used this technique to route power along telephone poles. It’s interesting to finally see it in an official set.

    I’ve already found more electronics for your boneyard. I’ll save them up for you!

    Love the My Own Train Stuff. I think you have a great idea to build the gondola in all the colors, that string of cars will look really cool!

    Sorry I just saw your video now. I need to build one of the small blue locomotives, I currently only have the large. I really like the sand blue car. That color looks great as one whole car. Thanks for the tag!!

      It's all good! These haul videos are quite long 😅. Thanks for getting back to me about using the footage. Literally just got the parts in to make my fourth locomotive. It will be a bit before the full video comes out but I think it will be a good one. Showing all the mods I did, stickers from a couple different suppliers etc.

    The blue baseplate I recognize from set 5233, a child's bedroom with playpen and other brick built furniture and toys. The "child" was a regular minifig and the parent was a larger ball jointed fig, A "rug" sticker was included in the set. Interesting idea, each set was essentially one room of a dollhouse, part of 1980's "homemaker" theme according to brickset.

    Red and black engines looks like a SHAY narrow gauge loco , you can build with multiple tenders ! steam loco with bogies . Best wishes from Wales .

    Definitely a 'someday' build here. Such a lovely thing.

    I forgot I had a playlist I lol! Very coincidentally we are doing the same thing here as far as the my own train series. I should have done this back when they were still cheap. I use to have a ton of the color packs but I’ve sold them - at cheap prices - over the years. Now they are harder to find.
    That clear box stuff from the 60s I always have issues getting them to work. The blue base is similar to the one in the Technic control center pen plotter set. It’s probably from the homemaker series.

      Kind of funny we started doing that at the same time 😅. I recorded this haul about three weeks ago, it's getting confusing remembering what I've shown being so far ahead. I really wish I had bought some of the my own train sets back in the day! In my area it was extremely rare to see train sets in stores. I think Toys-R-Us sold train sets sometimes, but it was RARE to go there as a kid since the prices were always higher.
      Did the base in the Control Center set have the same roughness on the mid-section like the blue one?

      @iPelaaja1 Рік тому +1

      @@BatteryPoweredBricks Yes, the contol center base plate is light grey and it does have the exact same rough texture. But in that set the baseplate is actually used upside down, the paper lays on the smooth backside and the pen on top of that. I also wondered why the texture is rough on the top side when it's not used.

    The slimy tires might be a later '90s thing, the earliest set I remember having it on is the 1997 barcode set, earlier ones like that white multiset have been fine.

    • @BatteryPoweredBricks
      @BatteryPoweredBricks  Рік тому

      I guess I've never really payed that much attention, I always assumed it was how they were stored but it may have also been differences in manufacturing over the years. Either way always glad to find non-slimy ones 😁

      @@BatteryPoweredBricks As far as I can recall, they were already mildly slimy when new in box, got me curious about narrowing it down. So, my 8299 Search Sub (bought in 1997 in UK) has dry solid rubber tires, 8479 Barcode Multiset (probably 1998, Canada) has a slimy one. My Mindstorms 1.0 came with the slimy ones too, and I'm certain of that cause it's the only tire 3634 I own.
