I believe in mythical creatures even though i never seen anything before. Maybe because i respect nature, especially when we go hiking with my friends. The old climbers told us to say tabi tabi whenever we want to pee or we want to go somewhere without a trail, it means "excuse me" or "let us through".
They say kapre plays with you when you wander around, mermaids may look good on tv but in real life they look creepy in Philippines, asin means salt and bwang means garlic
Your Filipino accent is getting better!Nice🙋 Wait, since the white van kidnapping is now dangerous, I'm not going to be surprised if White lady is driving the car😂😂22
Tabi-tabi po means "excuse me" or "please step aside" a precautionary measure used when you don't want to accidentally hurt or disturb those unseen spirit or creatures from the ground if you are passing in a forestry area.
The manananggal, which translates to "one who removes/takes off/separates", is a vampire-like mythical creature native to the Philippines, a malevolent, man-eating and blood-sucking monster or witch.
Hello Jisoo, just an advice, you don’t have to believe me but just listen please. If you’re planning to go to Philippines especially in forestry areas = lot of trees, not crowded area, more importantly beware of Balete trees & always say « tabi tabi po » & don’t make too much noise or else you might disturb the mythical creatures living there. I believe in them because in my family, we’ve all experienced it a lot already & old people are witnesses to that. Be careful of kapres, duwende, engkanto, aswang, manananggal because they are the ones who are capable of hurting you. White lady is fine because they just usually scare you but still be careful. 😊
Maybe another advice for you is to never venture alone in those areas. If possible have someone with you, someone who knows what to do just in case some mythical creatures get attracted to you. You can research about them as well if you want or watch more of them in youtube. Again, you don’t have to believe but there’s also nothing wrong in believing & memorizing these advices because we never know, it might help you. ^^
We tell this kind of stories in our school.if im in my school i feel brave watching this horror videos then when i arrive at our home i am suppper scared and i cant sleep
There's more unknown Filipino mythical creatures from rural areas. In my hometown which is an island at the end of the Philippines below. We have tiyanak and pochong which I believe is originally from Malaysia. We also have the saitan(a devil), Gin(a spirit who either lurks around you or disturb you for unknown reasons, they also come in different colors according to those who can see them allegedly), uwak sampa(a birdlike creature with a spear who kills when it sees people moving with the spear so don't move if you ever encounter one, and when it's near, it says "uwak" faintly and when it's afar from you, it says "uwak" loudly), sagayih(a creature who abducts, eat, and or kill children at around 5pm-7pm I think), tubanggkit(can't really remember this), lutaw(a recently dead who still have unfinished business so he/she become a ghost who knocks on your door at night), and balbalan(similar to manananggal).

We say “tabi tabi po” to pay respect to the mythical creatures and we most often used it if we don’t want the creatures to be bothered by what we are doing or else they will return what we have done and may end up receiving consequences like getting a fever or other bad symptoms. As a child, I have been cursed a lot by the “dwendes” because I always play at night in trees where we believed most creatures lived. I always went to an albularyo (an exorcist of some sort) just to get the them away 😂
When the sun is going down we always tabi tabi po especially in forest if you dont say tabi tabi po the duwendes will put a curse on you and its actually real others are real like mananangal
