You speak 90% correct. practice the word ng, -ng as the connector, and word with consecutive vowels like "Maaalala mo pa ba?" It's not read as "MAAA" its "MA/A/A/LA/LA mo pa ba?" Which means "will you ever remember?"
You’re so cute learning in speaking Tagalog. You will become famous in the Philippines when you go their because Filipino people loves foreigners regardless of color. They treat with Kindness and Respect. In the Philippines Staring at someone isn’t rude. They just eager and interested to know about you and want to make friend with you by staring or looking at. It’s pleasant to ears when a foreigner speaks Tagalog.❤
You’re doing well! Just say the syllables slowly and you’ll get it. You picked up the lessons quickly, great job! Enjoy your trip. Be safe, have fun, and make lots of new friends!
Thank you for your interest in learning the Filipino Language. Wow learning gradually is a great start for a new language widening your reach internationally .... You will be loved by Filipinos .... You are doing great Gab! Sending love from the Philippines. If its hard for you, you can talk in English. Most people here understands and speaks English but thank you for learning our language. It shows how eager you are and respectful of our language and country.
I'm happy for you Gabriel trying your best to speak tagalog word...nowadays we speak taglish..which is the combination of English and Tagalog..you can do it 🥰🥰
It's a delight to see you learning our language. When you visit the PH, I bet you won't have a hard time communicating since most us do Taglish and can communicate in English.
We usually use Tag- lish (Tagalog/English) it's so convenient to use.. if you don't know the exact words in Tagalog use English words to add on your sentences..
you're so cute Gabe learning Tagalog. I can sense you can learn our language in no time. Just remember no matter how long the word or phrase is just read it in syllables. Our language is simply very syllabic. You did okay. I was smiling while you are trying to pronounce the words. Mahusay ka Gabe!
I'm in Bulacan, Philippines, the land of poets and heroes. I can say that no one speaks like this (for the most part) anymore in our area. But your effort is truly adorable and appreciated.
Wow ! Now you are learning Filipino Language ! You are great at learning ... Thank you for the interest. . It will help during you visit in the Philippines ! God bless you !
You're doing well actually. Your pronunciation and accent is so good!❤️ Just take it lightly, Filipino words are just pronounced the way it is written 🥰. A lot of the phrases taught by the Girl in the video are actually too formal and are rarely used or none at all like "Ikinagagalak ko po kayong makilala"- which means nice to meet you- This is found only in books, movies, series or Historical film but not in the modern times. And for daily use the simplest phrases are used by Filipinos 👍 you can learn the formal easier if you start with the informal👍
This is really cute lol,big hug from me XX,Bisaya or Visayan is much easier than Tagalog, thou some Tagalog words are use in Bisayan too...U will get there fast Gab:) just keep goin, you did well!!!!!💯💯💯
You are really good in pronouncing Tagalog words, and I am impressed. You are a natural. I love watching your videos Gab. You have the same last name as my Filipino stepdad. You also have a very nice lips and smile, and you are very good-looking. Much love!
Mabuhay ka bro, your so cute to watch trying your very best to pronounce tagalog words hope to see you in the future shooting one of your vlog episode in our country. God bless you bro
Killin it, man lol. Ngl using "Kinagagalak kitang makilala" in regular convo would sound a bit weird unless you're from the 60s/ 70s but it would still be impressive to hear it from someone not Filipino. They would really appreciate your efforts and would def put smiles in their faces. Everyone in the comment section is already finding it amazing that you're trying, man. Imagine if you actually start using them when you're already in the country. Good work, Gabriel. 🔥🔥🔥 N.B. It's somewhat useless to learn Tagalog numbers since 90 percent of FIlipinos don't really use them. They use English. Focus on learning conversational Tagalog and street slangs, that'll blow their minds lol.
Tagalog has words that run fast but most are slow phased, some words are identically spelled but changes meaning on how its pronounced, a short line is indicated above the vowel or so to indicate if the word or part of it is to be said with rising intonation or falling intonation. Like the word "Gabi", in 11:17 when you mentioned the word in Taglog its a leafy plant. Gabi as she pronounced is the word for evening / night
OMG!!! I have fallen in love with you! Thank you for taking interest. Thank you for making effort. Please stay for at least a year when you go visit the Philippines. You will be very well taken cared of. If I have fallen in love with you from this video you can be sure that AT LEAST 1000 other Filipinos have fallen in love with you too. Families will adopt you instantly. You will never go hungry. You will be so fine in the Philippines.
You are doing well Thank you for learning our language btw Filipinos are friendly when you visit here they can help you and we can understand english even if we cannot speak fluently.
Greetings ... Oooh ... take your time sir Gabriel, you are doing it well. When you come to the Philippines, it will be more exciting for you and a challenging one ... ❤❤❤👍👍👍🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
you can say " masaya akong makilala kita" masaya means happy. im happy to meet you. what she teaches is kinda of formal.we can also teach you slangs like CHAROT or SANAOL 🤣 it really warms our filipino heart that you are making this extras to learn more not only about our culture but also our language.
To be honest, you're good at pronouncing it. And that's why it is easy for you to understand every word or sentence. Thank you for giving time to learn our tagalog(Filipino) language.it means a lot to us. Maraming salamat po. 😊 Thank you very much. 😊
I always tip my hat to those who are learning different languages for i completely know how gargantuan it is to aquire a language that are ridiculously different from your native language. I've been acquiring English for almost 3 years now, and i ain't gon lie it isn't straight forward, not to mentiond i ain't got no one to talk to using this language, but over the course of a certain amount of time, I've managed to let's say conversationally fluent.. And I would say throughout my learning journey, acquiring things that you're passionate about is quite satisfying tho difficulties are inevitable. Anyways thank you so much for this video, this really made my day.
Why am I only seeing this now??? 😂 I love it! You nailed most of it! Well done! Tbh, she's speaking waaaaaaay too fast even for me. LOL But she's teaching it in a very natural approach of how we say it in Filipino.
I am a man but you make me feel emotional by seeing you strive to learn our language. What comes to my mind is one question. What made you decide to like Filipinos and even trying to learn our language even if it is too hard learning it? You made us proud being Filipinos.
Also some of what you're doing is good! you figured out how to pronounce the NG (Which many foreigners just do wrong) which is really great. Our language is very simple to pronounce. If you have a background i spanish And maybe speaking Japanese , I think you'll get Filipino/ Tagalog.
the reason why people say the full name is the build of getting to know, it's a relationship you wanna have more of formal way not the casual one. It's very important because for many reasons like security, personal relationship and Introducing you to other people if ever. if a father ask her daughter who is she with, they'll never say, Gabriel? Look who is he? It most be the whole name so the father trust her daughters word, plus there are many gabriel in the world, it's better to be more specific.
So proud of this guy! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻before you start your filipino reaction video try to introduce yourself in Tagalog try Mabuhay! Kumusta? Ako po si Gabriel 😅👋🏻 and before you end the video just say Paalam at Salamat 👋🏻
Just learn the basics and off you go. Filipinos are at ease with the English language. Even if some can't speak it fluently, they can understand you well when you interact with them. That's why we've got Taglish (combination of Tagalog and English) which is a natural thing in the Filipino language nowadays. By the way, you're doing well. Keep it up.
I like this dude you can do this man just keep watching that video until you can understand the basics i feel like im back in kindergarten watching you😂
The best way to learn niyo language is not by learning whole sentence but by reading the singular word fluently. then when making sentences just mimic filipino accent like a mockery and you'll pick it up cuase you conciously copy the accent. The mimic technique is good when used in mimicking sentences.
So proud, as a Filipino Canadian, to see you try to learn our National Language Tagalog. If I may add, try to learn the Filipino alphabet. It will help you pronounce the words as if you are a real pinoy.
Another translation for "Excuse me." is "Makikiraan po." This is only use when you are trying go pass through between two people or group of people or between houses. I usually use it when I have no other path to walk on or if people are talking where I like to go through.
You know what those first timer tourist who visited us also use the word "kinagagalak kitang makilala" (which too formal) im like dude its too deep hahaha just say nice to meet u 😂😂😂 but i appreciate and live the effort to those who try to speak Tagalog or Filipino ❤❤😊
You will learn a lot when you get here Gabriel, as you enjoy your stay here you will hear a lot of Tagalog or even Taglish here. Please don't be too harsh to yourself 😊 But I do appreciate your willingness to learn our language 💜💜💜
That is one particular language 'tagalog words" but if you go to another city its another dialect you encounter that even me filipino cannot understand, and thats 1 of 175 languages in the country Filipino usually speak your language when you meet them sooo no problem, but its a long way to learn it....😅😅😅
