The korean teams didn't want to scrim and help EDG. Only G2 came to their rescue and helped with the scrims, together they scrim and allowed EDG to practice many strategies. This will be the second time G2 helps china win worlds.
MORE IMPORTANT: Jankos actually imitate the roams and path of Canyon, following the EDG Coach Directives. More of the strategies used by EDG was in this context. so, EDG knows exactly how DWK plays, teach to G2 and the europans become a "dummy" for their training

The call that defined the finals was basically "immortal Jarvan" one... that call defined edg as a whole tbh... jarvan being EDG and no matter what they just jump in and fight without dying throughout the knockouts... and also coz they were the only ones who made Jarvan completely scary...
I really liked how jiejie was so scary on jarvan that dk was forced to ban it but then he pulls out his viego which he snowballed so frikin hard that they had to ban viego too. Honestly jiejie was the best player for me in the finals.
Worlds 2021 is such a roller coaster for LPL fans including me... Great playin & 1st round group stage, followed by the suffocating underperformance of FPX, then EDG got destroyed by T1 and 100T, RNG barely won 4th seed of LCK and LNG got shattered by Carzzy's Ez ult. At that point, the vast majority of us thought that LCK's dominance is back and DK will take it all. Then EDG's miracle run started, 3 consecutive 3:2s, taking down 1st and 2nd seed of LCK one by one and lifting the summoner's cup. At the moment when EDG actually won, my great friend, who has been EDG's fan since S5, broke into tears immediately EDG really showed "Make or Break" by breaking the curse of inting at worlds and winning it all. It's been weeks after the finals now but I still can't believe it's true:) Such an unforgettable Worlds experience for me and fellow LPL fans!

FPX wasn't the underdogs tbh, they beat IG which was a better team than T1 during playoffs to get to finals. While G2 didn't have to play an LPL team that year until finals. LPL was definitely stronger than LCK during worlds 2019.
He didnt win a Grand Slam - He won MSI like 6 years ago. Congrats to the Man he has stuck with EDG through good and Bad but I wouldn't call it a Grand Slam. So far Faker is the only person in current play that has pulled off a complete Grand Slam.
That is not what the "grand slam" is my guy. The grand slam is winning every tournament in a year. EDG won Summer and Worlds. Also if it meant "winning each tournament once" then there would have been a couple players who had that under their belt already anyways.
I know its probably to do with the current world circumstances. But, would of preferred an "Eyes on" video like previous years instead, rather than the simple mash up of Vods/ highlights from Worlds without sharing any new insights... Even the editing feels rushed and clumsy.
