Thanks, the way we install everything on mortar and then seal the joints with Type S Mortar to prevent any water from getting under the granite which prevents any frost heaving ✌🏻
Mortar abound have been totally filled in under steps or else ur creating air pockets for dirt bugs and moister over time and week spots will cause it to fail might not for 20 years but it will someday

how many inches deep steps? 8 or 12 ?
They are 6" high and 12" deep
