I appreciate Andrew tried this one without any narrative. His videos are so well done you almost don’t even need the voice over. I’d like to see more like this. Merry Xmas Andrew!
-25 degrees celsius is cold. I have done my military service in the north of Sweden decades ago and we had -27 celsius and was out in the woods week at the time, but we had canvas tent with wood stove to spend the nights in. To stay without shelter... thats's tough 💪❄️ Excellent video Andrew.
My personal worse was -42c. Made a quinzy.. inside it was 1 c with 3 people and a candle lantern. Outside the glenfiddich was like maple syrup. Epic 3 days.
The best advice I’ve ever heard was from Les Stroud years ago when he did the Survivorman series years back. Said to gather the maximum amount of firewood you would ever thought you would ever need then triple it. Said it was no fun running out of firewood in the middle of a long cold winter night.
Kudos! you are the ONLY video poster that started a fire first! Color me impressed. FIRE FIRE FIRE.... Im a former Montana wilderness guide. I've spent many unplanned nights under the stars. As soon as I make the decision to over-night at a spot, I start a fire and gather wood. Feed the fire and gather MORE wood. Forget "old school" flints etc... keep a disposable lighter in your pants, shirt, coat and backpack. Then I begin the shelter. You can complete a shelter by firelight. And should an injury occur the fire can literally be a life saver! FIRE, for your life sake get the fire going FIRST!
I live in Minnesota and what I like about your videos is that you demonstrate survival in weather that I can relate to. Not many videos out there demonstrate survival under 0° and even fewer demonstrate survival in extreme cold like -20° or wind chill temps of -40°or -60°
Definitely one of your best. The message, skills, and techniques were well displayed with no vocalizing necessary. Having certain equipment makes any scenario easier. Survival would be very difficult without some tools. Happy new year.
You are one bad ass m f. Hands down the best cold weather over night video I've seen .a real dose of reality of what it really takes to survive .awesome video no words needed. 💪👍
He looks determined without being ruthless Something heroic in his manner There's a courage about him, doesn't look like a killer Comes across so calm Acts like he has a dream Full of passion
Ranger Andrew is the real winter soldier, Adam. Hard, strict training prepares you to progress through the unique, higher-level learning lessons coming suddenly with the extreme emotions of combat. You might even remember to push your safety off. By the way, a good example of training poetry!
Excellent video Andrew. Thank you for all the your efforts and expertise. These are great survival classes. I'm glad I found your channel. Merry Christmas to you and your family. All the best
Fantastic video, Andrew. Thank you for your effort and dedication, once again. Merry Christmas and may you continue giving us such extraordinary moments next year with your videos. 👍😉
When I think of the cold temp youre working in PLUS the work you're also doing, behind the scenes, with the excellent camera work, I am truly amazed. Great video!!
This is inspiring and I’m in the middle of getting the packing list for the pathfinder school and hope to do all this with my kids one day!!! Awesome video!
Thank you for another great survival video, Andrew. Me and my 14 year old son just did a winter survival camp in -30 degree weather. We actually made a snow dome as a sleeping area. Worked awesome. 6 candles in mason jars as light and heat.
Thanks for enduring that level of cold to demonstrate the necessary skills to survive. Any colder and you'd need a longer thermometer lol. So much content and useful information in 24 minutes! I noticed that it appeared you were sanitizing your axe and knife after processing the rabbit. Do you do anything to your gloves to clean them? I've got no experience processing game in those temps so I'm very curious and respect your opinion on that. Merry Christmas!
This is simply an outstanding AF video sir. I was literally blown away by it. My best wishes to you and your family for a fantastic and very Merry Christmas.🎄🎅✝️
While I enjoy you talking, explaining and teaching, and would normally go to other channels for "silent" camping/bushcraft when I'm in a mood for that - this video was fun to watch. Looks like at 16:56 you were just about to say something, but then remembered it was a no-talk video😉
You're a real man Andrew. Thanks for toughing it out for us. I know what night you filmed this. I had to go out past 1AM and get the generator going. Boy was it cold. Thanks again and God bless
What I love about your videos is the little things that most of us probably don't think about. Example the ranger band to hold the mora knife stood out to me a lot.
No shelter?; You are the man. 🥶 Made me cold watching it; Sir. 😁 Thanks Major, full support on our end. Bravo Zulu. Merry Christmas, and cheers 🍻 for hopes of a better new year in 2023. Much love from NC, home of Camp LeJeune- Ooorah
Awesome video Andrew, I do miss the voiceover, but regardless it is always very informative and entertaining to watch you in action. I learn so much from watching you. Keep up the great work
Andrew your the real deal bro your not afraid of any challenges at all in bushcrafting ,. Enjoy every video,u should be in the million followers club for sure. I love learning even at my age.☘️👍😎
You win! Best survival video I have seen in I don't know how long. Subscribed and watching. The rabbit clenched the deal and knocked it out of the park. Thanks for making such good content it ain't easy, I know.👍
Thank you, Andrew, this was a great demonstration. Never been in this dry cold, our nightly temps generally bounce between 25F-35F with rain here in western Oregon, a dry cold like yours is very different.
The importance of clothing showed well! Snow mobile suit over other winter clothing spot on ! So cold lately in West Virginia -40 f win chill. Best to get out of wind and cocoon. Fire of little value with this wind . Fuel and lighter only way I could reasonably start fire! Hands numb in two minutes!! Great job ! Interested in your take with high wind chill. ? Fire or no fire! This was so timely !!! Thanks again!
Hi Andrew, wishing you and your family and friends a wonderful Christmas and a happy new year. Greeting from Australia 🇦🇺. Thankyou for your time to make these videos available. Thankyou.
Another great video! Cold AF!! It really would have been nice to have a.... say sheet of clear plastic or curtain or clear trash bag with you! You looked warm in your correctly layered outfit, however a super shelter would have been interesting to see the temperature difference in that blowing cold!
Andrew. I'd like to first say Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I'd also like to say thank you for your service. This video was one of your most eye opening. It gave me an idea of what our U.S. service members trained and go/went through. I have so many questions of intrigue. Your videos show me that it can be done with hard work no matter the age. Thank you. ✌️
You are a great source of inspiration and knowledge. I wear my own "arctic necklace" every day since your videos introduced the concept to me ! Keep em coming! ✌
One video speaks 1gbyte of words. Thank you again Andrew. A couple of notes - From Ron Hood - laying a perimeter of logs around bedding helps keep it all together while sleeping. Thumbs up on the prima loft pants. One good thing about getting old - I have to get up during the night anyway, so stoking a fire is not a big deal anymore, haha. Most folks don't realize it's just as important to hydrate during the Winter as Summer. You really have to force yourself to drink. Personally, I prefer boiling rather than broiling rodents - it's easier (I'm lazy) and with a bouillon cube not bad, especially if you can find wild onions or garlic. I'm still looking for a book on native bottle of wine trees of North America, but for some reason......
Merry Christmas!!! What a great “white Christmas survival video “ I’ve been waiting for this video… Excellent!! Thank you for braving the brutal elements ~that your viewers can learn.., and who better to teach us than you…?? You’re the best teacher on UA-cam… God bless you and your channel throughout this coming year… 🙏🏻🥰
10 out of 10 for your effort and your content you put into your videos. we dont have snow here in Western Australia but it was still very interesting , i hope sponsers are lining up to get you to use their products and put them into your real life scenarios ,all the best mate.
The things people are willing to do to teach us. That was seriously going the extra frozen mile for that video. It's just a damn shame there aren't more people paying attention to these lessons - some of the people who have died in this winter storm could have used the information to maybe stay alive. Someone learning to get a fire going in adverse conditions of all sorts could have saved some lives.
This reminds me of one of your first videos ( may have been taken down) about winter hunter survival. If I remember there was a lot of good tips there too. That being said the non-narrative was surprisingly welcome. Some people just talk to talk and explain and over explain stuff. Well done
That rabbits head!! Iv been teaching survival etc for many years and thought I'd maybe seen it all, nope, iv never seen a frozen rabbits nappa get sent into orbit 😂 great video as always, mors of this please!
I actually like the no dialogue. That's how it is out in the woods, quiet ...peaceful. Great video dude, this is primitive !
hes not talkin for a reason, because making your lips wet is sooo soo bad plus you save energy on that temperature
I appreciate Andrew tried this one without any narrative. His videos are so well done you almost don’t even need the voice over. I’d like to see more like this. Merry Xmas Andrew!
Too cold to talk 😂
But with that giant silky, no matter how cold--I don't think I could keep myself from making light saber noises!
next time put CHRIST in Mas
@@GodFearingg Jesus doesn’t mind, Ass-en B.
The narration is the best part.
-25 degrees celsius is cold.
I have done my military service in the north of Sweden decades ago and we had -27 celsius and was out in the woods week at the time, but we had canvas tent with wood stove to spend the nights in. To stay without shelter... thats's tough 💪❄️
Excellent video Andrew.
Rangers are BADASS!
I've done this in about -25C at night for 3 days with a poncho and that is hard. Squatting and push ups helps but only for an hour.
My personal worse was -42c. Made a quinzy.. inside it was 1 c with 3 people and a candle lantern. Outside the glenfiddich was like maple syrup. Epic 3 days.
I enjoyed this one without any voice over. You simply show us what you're doing. Thank you for another great video!

No narrative needed. Andrews skills speak for them selves.... outstanding.
Proof we can survive -25F if we're dressed correctly and have a fire . Very good video , Keep'em coming
"what brings you up so high? Grizz? You make good rabbit, pilgrim"
Thanks for the dinner and movie, and sharing your adventures
Jeremiah Johnson caught it the other day. Awesome flick 👍🏼
Excellent demonstration of harsh conditions and food and shelter. Rabbit is a bonus !
He looks determined without being ruthless
Something heroic in his manner
There's a courage about him, doesn't look like a killer
Comes across so calm
Acts like he has a dream
Full of passion

When Fahrenheit and Celsius start to meet, you know it’s cold AF
I'll be surprised if all the Furries don't clamber to have this one taken down. #axesavage. Merry Christmas Andrew!
Awesome video Andrew! Great editing. Keep up the good work! Thanks
Excellent video Andrew. Thank you for all the your efforts and expertise. These are great survival classes. I'm glad I found your channel. Merry Christmas to you and your family. All the best

That had to be a miserable night in the cold.
Thanks for putting yourself through that for us.
LMAO i skipped at the part where you dissmemberd the rabbit, the way his head flew off was hilarious 🤣🤣🤣🤣
It's cold when your rabbit doubles as a baton.
I had to censor that from my wife too
Whahahahahhahahaaaaaa!!! I will have to rewatch that part
Thank you as always, Andrew!
Amazing Bro..
Great video as always 👍👍properly dressed & prepared.
Only a combat arms soldier understands the pure joy from a fresh pair of socks. Immediately boosts morale.

So many tips and tricks packed into this video! Well done!
Thanks for making the video.
Some of the best videos on UA-cam
Thank you Andrew and seasons greetings 👍😀
This is so calming to watch 😊
This was gooooooood. I actually saw so clearly, exactly how tha bow drill is constructed here. Outstanding. Thank you sir.
Merry Christmas!!!

Hi Andrew! Nothing like a bit of rabbit while enjoying "Ranger TV" on a balmy night. Merry Christmas!

Thanks for teaching and showing me different survival techniques. I practice in my backyard.
I'm learning a lot from you, thanks.
Big hug from Brazil.
Bow drill at -20 ,good soldier. Well done Andrew
Great demonstration of freezing conditions emergency survival.
Merry Christmas 🎄 Andrew
Merry Christmas Sir !
Everything sounds correct for -20. Snow and wood have a unique sound when it's that cold. :)
20 below is beast mode conditions , good job Major👍👍
Thanks Major. Reminds me of my 10th Mountain Days!
Holy crap that saw is awesome- merry Christmas 🎁🎄
Awesome video! Always learn something from your videos and very entertaining as well. Thanks for sharing!
