I just wanted to let you know keep going and uploading, you provide content for those old timers that can’t go on trail but go down memory lane when they see content like that. No matter how negative comments you get just know you melted some old timers heart
Not if he is gonna have a fire. Snow on the tree melts and put out fire.... he had a plan and executed it. Why post negative comments. If you can do better get out there and start your own channel and go camping.
Love this video, there is nothing like night fishing under the moon and stars for catfish. It was nice to see you have some company, because everyone needs someone to lean on sometimes.
Salud tio grande !!
Always make your house near your firewood location. Make large fire immediately using several logs long night burning. Make your snow wind taller, longer, closer to where u sleep, much closer
In my younger years I belonged to a group that camped outdoors, on the 3rd Saturday of January, in northeast Wisconsin. One of the group always built a quinzee hut to sleep in. No fire inside, only a single candle. In the morning he showed us the thermometer, usually read around the 60 F mark.
There's quite a bit of criticism in the comments, at least hes out enjoying nature...Listen, experience is experience, no one is an expert on their first go...Keep going my man
Thank you for your kind words! I completely agree, the video was indeed entertaining. Me and my wife liked this video a lot. We can tell you put a t9n of work into the shelter and editing. Im subscribed now. We can't wait to see what else you do.

Personally I would of made a raised bed in the middle as cold air sinks. Then used lots of that pine for loft the have the skin on top of that. He would of been a lot warmer. But a nice looking shelter nevertheless.
He did kind of give himself away by not having the fire going when he went to sleep. And disassembling his saw before his wood pile was stocked. BUT! Still good visuals. Did some work. It’s still good

Wood is a key element just staying warm. My comment would be why don't you have a fire close to where you are sleeping. The whole idea of having the fire is to stay warm not to look at it.
Wow! You can tell straight away this guy haven't done this before. He didn't isolate the roof with snow, he didn't cover the other part of the shelter to keep the heat. He didn't do hight enough firewall to reflect the heat. He did it with snow hahaha 😆. He didn't even warm up logs to have under he's sleeping spot. Poor guy, hope he'll get another hobby
Stupid question ❓ but why don't you just build a shelter under a tree and save a bunch of time. Make 2 A frames with a long PC of wood going across holding up the tree branches and build walls???
Not a stupid question at all! Building a shelter under a tree with A-frames and a crossbeam is a practical idea, utilizing natural elements to save time and effort. It's a straightforward approach that can work well, depending on the environment and your preferences. I just wanted to try something new
I woud have to challenge how cold it is, when you can do all that without gloves and the branch bends without snapping. lol. Where I am..... that is warrrrrrm lol.
Are we supposed to believe that so called shelter did anything to keep you warm? Or that you even slept out there? You built a useless shelter, completely in the open, with a bed made of snow, and a fire that would have done little to nothing to keep you warm.
A tent's primary function is to keep wind and precipitation off you. Tents do little to keep you warm. This shelter keeps the wind out and there is no precipitation.
I don’t know anything about the various types of saws, so I have a question. Does anyone know why he brought a saw to build a saw? Why was the new saw better for his purposes than the original one? (Please be kind in your responses. I’m just trying to learn.) Thanks!
Jacques
Not sure why you would fill in your original fire pit only to start a new one. Kind of weird you would bring a saw blade without the frame. I understand making tools to survive but you’re not going to have a saw blade just hanging around to attach a branch to.

Very good idea
i like how its not 100% only primitive tools but it also isnt full corporate camping with everything under the sun from some outdoor superstore

È un rifugio di fortuna. Sarà stata fredda la notte quasi all'aperto. Bravo bel video.

❤❤nice
nice video
rub the lighter between your two open palms to warm it up and it would work
nice your video
Didn’t see a good supply of wood which you should have had 10x more than what I saw in the video to keep burning overnight.
Wood is a key element just staying warm. My comment would be why don't you have a fire close to where you are sleeping. The whole idea of having the fire is to stay warm not to look at it.
2 mins in no words….into the next
Extreme temperature frost bite is real.
Bic Lighters are Temperature sensitive, try to keep in, an inside pocket, as close to body as possible, they'll work much better
Excellent skills young man. You should open up a business and teach the younger generation these skills.
XD
Maybe one day
I never been camping. Does the fire actually keep a person warm in that setup?
No! The bedroll might!
this is youtube fake video no way dude would last 3 hours like that
THE SHELTER IS SUPPOSED TO BE READY BEFORE YOU GO
TO 😴 💤
I thought it was getting dark when he was first digging the snow now it was like daylight
I dont believe that you slept out without anything
Personally, I would have built a shelter under the tree where you cut wood. Already gave some protection and would have taken less time and effort.
Anche io pensavo lo stesso.
You're video quality is the best on UA-cam. What kind of camera do you use? Your content is great!
Thanks! I film all of my videos with a GoPro Hero 11 and my filmsettings are 4K 60fps

his sleeping bag is probably -30 C . he didnt need to do any of those.
👍🏻🥶

Trying cooking authentic foods or Cook Spaghetti 🍝 and meatballs on the next snow camp 🏕️ video.
4:56 👽👽👽
If its warm enough not to have to wear gloves you probably don't need a shelter 😂

How did u sleep in such cold with hardly no heat all night ??
You really thought he was really sleeping there??!!
Just curious, what type of drone do you use?
Please wear a pair of gloves when you’re making your bushman 😮
I'm calling total bullshit on this video.... I live in a northern climate and trust me, no way that's holding up against a cold winter night
