    Once again a great impressionistic painting using distinctive marks. A great artist who provides 60 minutes (both parts) of video for no cost! Recommend this to any artist, whether pastelist, oil or watercolor painter. Teaching and explanation of the ongoing work is very transparent. Keep watching for a local live workshop with Alain Picard. Hope I will find one close to me soon.

    Thank you for the guide and You Tube paint along!!!!!!!!! Again, you are amazing because just when I think you have made the wrong mark...wha la...You add something totally unexpected and it just works... Beautifully!!! Just food for thought. It was at near the end of the video when you were making the finial mark making that I really wanted to get inside your mind and know WHY? I would suggest that more explaination be given at the finish part than on the broader parts. Guess, I will just have to start working to afford to take a class up NORTH!!!!!!!! Please tell me when you come down south like as in SC, GA, NC! :))))))

    • @AlainPicard
      @AlainPicard  5 років тому

      Chawol thanks. All I can say about the color selection is that sometimes I do choose the wrong color or make the wrong mark, then I just adjust and move forward, feeling my way with color to gain a look that is pleasing. Layering pastel is so fun. Glad you enjoyed! Good feedback too, I'll try, it's the part of the painting that really requires alot of brain power. So that's why I slowed my communication. Will think about how to share more there. Stay tuned! And yes, I get south as well, so if you join my email newsletter than you will find out when I am in NC, SC, etc.
      thanks!

      @@AlainPicard I am on your email list. Would not want to miss any communications. My husband and I were talking this morning how hard it must be to try to talk and teach all the while being in the right side of the brain. He suggested that you draw and then go back and dubb in your technique and thoughts. Also, I know you must know this, but have you ever heard of color masking with a color wheel or a Yurmby color wheel. If not I will send on your Website the information. It is very interesting. But, You probably already do this.

I only use Lascaux fixative when I need it for added security to ship and frame art as a final set layer. It is clear. Link to video ua-cam.com/video/6N0srw9pklE/v-deo.html
