  • Nice to see you. If this is your first time on our channel welcome! If you've been to our channel before welcome back! This is Hoek Vlog 5.
In this video, Brian will be outlining which drill bits are used to cut the 100% post-consumer H.D.P.E (High-Density Poly Ethylene) plastic sheets that become Hoek tables. Conor explains the finishing process in more depth. Sharing the procedures that we go through to complete sanding the Hoek tabletops. As well as, speaking to the process and methods of spraying, the spray system we use, and much more. We will show you how we are recycling glass to build out our showroom and you'll get a little sneak peek at how the showroom is coming along.

Can’t wait for our side table. My tea needs pride of place when watching the PGA Tour in the evenings

Thanks for sharing the details of the finishing process. That black HDPE looks very cool

Hey Connor! Hope it was helpful. Let us know if we can dive into more detail in areas. Yeah the black HDPE is slick. My new favorite color option is the black on black!

@@hoek I'm looking forward to the design videos. I reckon that a grey-tinted glass top would work well for the round coffee table, and quite futuristic showing off the skeletal black chassis.

@@ConnorHolland Oh we like that idea!! Very cool. Thank you for sharing. Yes we are working on shipping out the first orders this week so we likely focus on that but we hope to have a design video out the following week.

Looking forward to seeing the showroom and the workshop behind through up-cycled glass #reduce #reuse #recycle

Really like these vids to see what your process is - topics around cnc's, startups, and design would be something I'd be interested in :)

Hey Matthew! Thank you for watching. We'd be delighted to cover those topics. We're working some design videos as we speak.

how is it that the pieces don't come loose or flick out once they're cut? Is each piece held down or stuck down? Or is each piece still slightly connected to the main sheet and punched out afterwards?

If its anything like our fiber laser it leaves very small tabs when we designed it to have them. Otherwise the cuts drop under our table.

Back ground music is more like foregroud music making it hard to hear you. Good video though.
