Ryan. I just love these talks. It’s what I listen to while I milk. Your interview style is great. As an uncommitted tractor color I enjoy all brand discussions. Having grown up in the 80’s it was a tough time, but I learned so many lessons that have led to success. Since dairy farmers don’t have weekends you make me look forward to Fridays. Rambling over now!
Thank you very much! I hope they work good as podcast material. There's lots of history and knowledge in these farmers
That old boy has seen a lot of changes he's pretty sharp yet really enjoy these stories Ryan
I can't thank you enough for these stories. Growing up in dairy through the 80's and 90's, a good time with buddies was driving through the dealers lots and looking for an open station 4430 to drool over. So many familiar names and places. Thank you for saving this heritage.
Thanks for watching!
This extra long video is very much appreciated! I really enjoy all of your videos but this one is my favorite yet!
Thank you
Amazing interview, you keep getting better, and better, thanks for doing these, keep up the great work, I will watch another 3 hours 👍🏻
Thanks!
That was great! Good lord at 65 I can’t remember what I had for breakfast…he is amazing! Keep up the good work Ryan!
He's very sharp
Another great story! I've watched half but I'll come back and finish later tonight for sure! Love the tractor stories. I live just north of you in East Farmington. Between Osceola and Somerset. I know a dairy farmer I worked for for 10years I'd love to introduce you too. Only farms with Deutz. He's got some cool tractors. I love deer, like IH. But those older Deutz he still uses daily are neat to say the least.
He's got an 100. 06 he bought at 18 that would be the perfect tractor to tell his family's story. He has the original deed to the farm from the late 1890's if I remember right hanging on the wall
That may be a good one
These are great stories !!
Great story and not a minute too long thanks.
Thanks
Great interview! Sig has a down to earth and friendly nature but I bet in his prime career years he was an extremely shrewd and tough operator. I’m sure you have a list a mile long but some older dealers of Allis, Oliver, JI Case would be fascinating. Maybe an old milk hauler as well.
Ryan, Marvin Hillig long prairie MN be a good one to have in one of your deals. Starting out with Ford tractor. Then 1965-1997 32 years as a John Deere dealer award from Minneapolis branch
Laurence Aakre would be a good one to put on your deal. Rollag implement Rollag MN
Very interesting video. Thank You
I never thought that I would enjoy listening to total strangers talk about their tractor stories, but I an hooked. I have to admit that I do do business with Tractor Central and I know not the people you interview , but I live here and I know the area. Good work.
Thank you very much
The only time I see a salesperson is if i go and look at a piece of iron. But my 92-year-old neighbor tells me all of his equipment up to the late 80s was bought because different dealerships would show up at the farm and offer a demo.
Love the videos especially listening to the old timers They have so much wisdom Keep the videos coming Ryan!
The 806 out pulls the 4020
I would have liked a few of your previous videos to be longer. It’ll take me a couple or so days to get through this one but that’s ok. Keep it up.
Thanks!
What a real treasure of Wisdom on how to be successful in business!!! Thanks Ryan for taking the effort to capture a slice of pure traditional Americana!
Thanks
Really enjoy watching your videos 💚💛
My personal opinion on power between a 730 and the 4010. The 730 was really comfortable with a 3-16 plow but you work the snot out of it with a 4-16. The 4010 was really comfortable with the 4-16 but you worked the snot out of it with a 5-16. I never thought the 730 was bad on any of my PTO implements with one exception. The pto generator. I also have a 400 John Deere grinder. Use it once a week yet. Bought it from the first farmer I worked for. He bought it new and I wouldn't be surprised if at times it wasn't grinding four to five batches a week until he bought a Gehl 135 in the 80s. After that it mixed mostly whole corn and oats for lambs. This guy is a treasure. What a great story.
Truly enjoying these stories
Great video watched it all in 1 shot really enjoying your channel
Thanks!
Great video!
I had Marvin on phone today. Guy wants to talk.

Awsome !!
Now that’s a story
This is one of the best things to listen to while milking. Need to talk to Wayne kuhl about the Granton imp. That tractor central now.
