I was 20 in 1985 and went to countless New Wave dances during those years. This was our reality. Not a cell phone around. I wore my penny loafers, 501 jeans, cool shirts and we danced for hours. Miss those days.
Being a DJ from young, I listen to all types of music. But my heart belong to the New Wave of the 80's. It was and still is the best music ever. Whenever I remember those songs (like Nowhere Girl), I really get goose bumps. I wish I could re-live those years over and over again. We need the vehicle from Back To The Future, lol.
I heard, rumoured on Amplex You Tube site, The Vatican may possess one probably built by Leonardo Da Vinci and a few fallen angels - aliens aka demons.

I was 17 in 1985. Looking back on it now I just didn't appreciate how special the 80's were. Not just for me, but in general. The music, the style, the fashion, the feeling in the air back then -- I didn't appreciate how awesome it was to experience. If you weren't there and didn't experience it, it's impossible to explain. A new generation took over from the tired, disco 70's and we were so full of energy, new music, new fashion, new everything.
My brother use to DJ house parties in the San Fernando Valley and this was the favorite song for many new wavers this was back in 93’ He now homeless like many Americans living in poverty surrounded by streets drugs that is damaging his mind and body!! When I listen to this song it reminds me of him when he was well, healthy and handsome.😢
Great video of much more innocent times. I'm so glad that I was a teenager from the late 70's and through the 80's (13 in 79) Music and our attitude to life was soooooo much better then.
Wow; what fun and amazing flash backs of these underground parties and club nights dancing with sooo many girls. The buzz from not only the alcohol, but also from the energy, the lights, the smoke machines, the cigarettes, the girls perfumes, the sweat…. The music…
I remember it very well, from new, and the demo from 1981. This song has a lovely ambiance, and the video is captivating with it s energy, and positivity. The piano has a Jerry Lee Lewis style energy, with a 1980 s elegance. Excellent era to go dancing. Whoever posted this should be commended on their excellent taste. Long live the band the b movies, from England.
It just does not get played anywhere nowadays, especially here in Canada. Luckily I remembered it and here it is (The word nowadays must tell you that I am much older than this song)
I so wish I could turn the clock back to re-live the 80s. I always loved New Wave music for its fresh melodies, but I was more into Metal and hung out in that scene until 1988. I don't know why; I was aware that the New Wave crowd was having SO MUCH MORE fun! I guess the vibe of Metal, denim & leather, and motorcycles was too entrenched into my psyche to abandon and try something new at the time. The 80s were crazy times in my life (it would make an interesting movie); I wonder sometimes how I survived through it all.
From L.A to London and Tel-Aviv, there’s a broad consensus: in the 80’s there was something so special that could be felt by many around the world. First, the sense of naively. Second, people were happier and friendlier. Last, the music revolved around universal values that could touch the millions around the world and make each and everyone related to it in a deep emotional fashion. Those were the days…😢

She did though However the girl in this Video #17 reminds me of a Girl in Jr High I think she moved her name was Gina.
We're all now approaching 60 years old. We're grandparents. We have full days of work, family responsibility and concerns. We well remember these days with fondness when we were in college, danced most weekends, watched MTV and browsed the record stores. We wore preppy New Wave clothes...penny loafers, sweaters, polo shirts with collars flipped up. There were no home computers and no cell phones. No tattoos and pot was an experimental drug by only a few. That was about it. Reagan was president and we trusted him. We weren't depressed nor struck with anxiety. Basically unheard of. Life was amazing and we loved the days. Music was huge to us and we danced and danced.

It did the same thing at The Bay in Salt Lake City, Utah. The floor was packed and people were in their own world dancing to it.
