Thank you for another interesting video of potential switching problems< KillerBee! Your solutions to these switching problems turned out to be simple moves that did not take much time to perform. (Posted on 23 December 2024 at 1443 CST.)
Glad you liked it. Yes, I realized I don't have to actually be there to film the moves - the drawings suffice. In fact, I received a comment a little while ago on the Denmark video that I illustrated with pictures that he wanted the animation!!
A lot of work would have been saved in that last exercise if the freight just stayed on the main for all the moves. I’m sure there are operational rules that outlaw the move or other reasons.
@@bestfriendhank1424 I am not sure. Just a guess on my part, but everybody was probably complying with the operational rules - an inferior train taking the siding to clear a superior train?
Awesome materials. Please do videos on Reciprocal Switching Fees and Haulage. Lots of these issues before the STB right now. I actually just found out Haulage over trackage rights isn't a permitted use. 🛤️
Yes, I have been thinking about it. The AAR (Association of American Railroads) made a video explaining reciprocal switching a few years ago that I always thought was a little corny.
Thank you for another interesting video on switching moves, KillerBee! I enjoyed watching this video. (Posted on 12 January 2025 at 2152 CST.)
A refresher course is always appreciated

I love these videos, they remind me of the switching problems in MR decades ago. The double saw-by is always fun.
Another great video with drawings. Thanks.

Wow. Amazing. Thanks a lot.
Absolutely. Thank you for commenting.
always interesting
These three I was aware of. Non the less, I like the way you explain all the moves. Happy Holidays to you and yours!
These are very interesting videos.

I had that thought too. Maybe it was just force of habit - freights always take the siding?
@@killerbee6310I’d be curious if it was an operational rule. It’ll give me something to research.

I’d like to ask a question but the comments gestapo won’t let me
