Definitely, the kind of book I love to work on. Jack time is well appreciated.
Btw, I’ve been using Starch paste all throughout. I’m turned off at methyl cellulose tendency to brown the interior paper, especially when doing a dry repair. I make notes also of the book and rarely take before and after photos, unfortunately. Congrats on getting this book looking so sharp and well-buffed up, despite the little mishap.

I will try your method on interior pages - I do remember you say that but have not had that issue until now. Darn Fawcetts are so weird sometimes.
And, I could have saved my mistake if I had submerged in H2O, but fear had gripped me by then LOL. Wheat paste is water soluble, duh.
