have watched many reviews for this variant. most have a monotone boring sales pitch style but this review is very simple and straightforward about details and features that matter. We got this variant as our first car, same color- 2 months ago and Im still learning new things about it. Great video!
@@ajayprabhakarkavungal Agree :). I booked it a week back, and was a bit sceptical with the price bump. But after getting this news and the bump of 13K-15K in MH region has made this agreeable for me! Hope you enjoy the car, cheers
Hi, Technically it can happen. Because DCTs are operated with twin clutches. And at lower speeds there is a very high chance of "clutch slip" to keep crawling (technically the clutch has to work against the brakes being applied by the driver to keep the speed low). This leads to over heating of clutches. Best practice is to shift to neutral when not moving in traffic. And this heating depends on multiple factors like Driving behaviour, environment temperature etc.
Hi bro very nice review I am planning for this same variant for my father he also plans for occasional trips to our village which is in Uttrakhand is it good for mountains at slow speeds ? how does the engine performs when all 4 people on-boarded on mountains ?
Hi, Thank you. This 3 cylinder engine lacks power under 1500 rpm, once you cross 1500 rpms it picks. DCT gear box can make driving easy on mountain roads, due to its quick response ability. Sport mode can help for power availability all the time during climbs. Please keep in mind, suspension is a little stiff in sonet.
Hi, It's decent. It can light up around 50 meters in front of you. Not a good idea to drive above 120 kmph in dark conditions. Its headlight may not give enough time to react in the short distance.
Yes Ofcourse, It comes with seat height adjustment. With this you can set your seat height as per the physique. For your reference: I am 5'10", and I drive it with the default seat height.
Hi Venue is cheaper in this variant. For that additional cost in Sonet, you get Ventilated seats in front Leatherette seats Alloy wheels Full led lights Etc Sonet would be a better pick if you look at features. Engine performance is similar. Comfort will be a bit better in Venue.
@ajayprabhakarkavungal it's look like venue got almost 50 k discount where as sonet only 10 k.. so, on dct base model, they got different in 1.4 lakh price difference almost...that's what this confusion for.
@vijoywilsonp6417 Understood. For that difference in cost, Venue would be a better pick, especially if you are looking for driving dynamics. Still, if you are looking for features along with Driving dynamics, Sonet is a better pick. In my opinion, venue interiors are minimalist in design even exteriors. Visibility is also better in Venue. I request you to have a test drive of both, if you haven't done yet. Because these two have completely different characters for interior and exterior design, which is again subjective for decision making.
@@ajayprabhakarkavungal now, venue agreed for a 80 k discount... Sonet still at 15 k+13 on insurance... Insurance is cheaper (@20k) outside than 50 k in showroom for both.. Now, am thinking of SONET GTX or Venue SX(O)...both Dct.... offer stands as above... Normal onroad is Venue SX0@16lak.. and Sonet GTX @ 16.7 lak... So, after offer deduction, there would b a 1.5 lakh difference between them... Pls guide me
Hi, In this scenario, I would suggest Venue over Sonet. The interior and exterior of the vehicle is still a subjective matter. Apart from that, the additional 1.5 L over the venue gives you a 360 cam, ventilated seats, rear disc brakes, digital dashboard, larger infotainment system, rear window curtain and full black interiors. At the same time the venue has many useful features like cornering headlamps, better visibility seating position, some white interior parts that makes it feel roomy, third headrest in the rear bench and a definitely comfortable suspension. I believe Venue is more valuable at this price.
Hi, Diesel 250 nm at 1500-2750 rpm Petrol 175 nm at 1500-4000rpm. Definitely the diesel engine will give better overtaking and in slope Torque. At the same time the petrol one does jobs with the help of quick DCT Transmission. Still, Diesel 6AT- Torque converter unit is the better pick among the two for your application.
Hi Bro, iMT is a clever technology. Still, If you want a complete convenience of automatic, iMT is not the option. It just relieves your left leg from the clutch, everything else remains the same. At the same time a full automatic vehicle nowadays gives you the option to switch between an iMT equivalent experience in manual mode and full automatic experience also. This makes me feel that a full automatic is the better pick. If you are comparing Manual and iMT, the manual gives you better control over the vehicle.
Bro should i go with sonet htx dct or verna sx manual, i came to a point that these two are the two final options. I know i shouldn’t be comparing sonet and verna. But the price range is similar. So please help me pick one. And please state the reason you picked one over the other.
Hi, My choice will be Kia Sonet HTX DCT. Because, it comes with a great DCT gear box and a more powerful engine compared to the 1.5 mpi engine. Higher ground clearance Leatherette seat with ventilation Interior design (subjective) Verna could be better if you prefer to have More stability in the drive Better boot space Broader cabin and rear seat leg space Low drive position
Yes of course. The design of the wheel could be subjective from person to person. In my perspective, a thin spoke wheel with maximum visibility to discs(paint the calipers if possible) can make it look better. The standard offset is 49-53 mm, and if you increase this it will look cool. When it comes to diameter a 16" will be perfect in proportion.

what is the mileage in city and Highway ?

If you have time, please watch my drive review for details.
Is this HTX or HTX plus?
Hi,
This is HTX.
Why they skipped rear wiper and washer for a 15lakh onroad car? Rest all are good.
Hi,
In a recent update in variants, they have introduced it.
Unfortunately, I bought the car just one month before it.
Bro why everybody on youtube saying its a 3 cylinder engine. But online , everywhere its showing that its 4 cylinder ??
