This reminds me of when my brother and I first roomed together a few years ago. Here in the U.S., it's not a guarantee that the place you're renting will have been cleaned from the prior tenants and sadly, the townhouse we rented was not. I sort of shut down from the grossness and stayed in my room for awhile. Eventually though, my brother and I got things cleaned (and then I became the main person to keep things cleaned 😕). We paid a deposit, but honestly, I was so happy after five years to be getting away from that place and how noisy and bad it was, I didn't even ask for the deposit back (also, the spot where the washer was at erupted with water on the last day due to the charity that I donated my washer and dryer to not properly shutting the water off first, causing pressure to build up and then explode water all over. After that, I knew asking for the deposit was out of the question and that's fine. I cleaned up all of the water, using up all of the towels, but I'm happy he didn't try to sue me for any damages). My current apartment was with an apartment complex, not a private landlord, and was very clean and smelled nice when I moved in. Sadly, I have to now say goodbye to it after just two years due to the rent becoming too high, but it's a chance to start over with cheaper rent and to try renting a single family house (I don't want to be connected to any neighbors. The ones next to me have children who are very noisy and the parents never tell the kids to be quiet and stop running up and down the stairs and shaking the building). Anywho, I say all of this though to just let you know, it does get better. It's really hard when you're first starting out (that's why my brother and I lived together at first), but eventually you start to see progress a little bit at a time and can look back with relief with making it out of an unideal situation. I hope everything with your apartment works out 😊
That room is so tiny but you managed it very well. The stuffs you bought that contains lot of storage, that was a smart thing to do. Evrything seems perfect. Loved your taste 🤍
Also, which ikea bed did you buy? love how it looks! looking for smth with storage too. I saw as shopee but I'm worried the quality might not be so good
for bare units is best to move few days before the lease is up in the old apartment, this way theres no stress and you will have plenty of time to set\move the stuff from old place and no need to pay extra in the old place. about damages, dont usully the owner needs to come to the apartent to check it at the day of giving you the keys so that they would check to see if theres damages and stuff and wrtie it into the contract... this way no need to pics since those can be easily manipulated and for safety with doors like that, its always best to keep the key inside the door if home so no one can pick up the lock. not trying to scare but omg those doors are like regular room doors when they should be thicked with better lock mechanism
Very inspiring! Are you renting that 'bare unit'? If so, what happens with all the stuff you bought and assembled? I can't imagine how hard it is to disintegrate and shit that to anywhere lol
Beutiful place but I couldnt watch it without turning away from looking with all those camera movement, I felt dizzy💀 and whats funny is I had that same desk when I first to the US tho it was black, it was pretty sturdy. Even the office chair is almost the same style lol🤝
Hello po, where do you live po ? I'm looking po for any apartments or condo po , any recommendations po na affordable and cheap pero okay naman for a single person na trying to be independent. Hope you notice . Thank you po:)
