Stunning performance from the 680m, if they keep improving this further there will be a time when iGPUs will take away huge part of today's GPU sales/market👍 I don't even game much anymore but I'm still thinking of getting one of these RDNA2 equipped CPUs.
It's like MX 450 doing better if the game benefits from his faster RAM. Both CPU and GPU from AMD can add extra 20% performance from upgrade the ram that comes with the laptop.
@@renebaebae0600 It'll perform better but availability is a big issue & the price to performance increase isn't that good, instead I would buy a laptop with d-gpu. @@Vasuli_bhoi thanks mate, i just bought a 680m ryzen 6800hs laptop (lenovo) for around $910 converted, with 16gb lpddr5 ram and 1tb of storage, do you think thats a good price? the one with dGPU is more expensive, i mean obv there are cheaper option but its mostly a dedicated gaming laptop and i dont want that as i plan to only do casual gaming
Thank you for posting these videos. I plan to buy a laptop this summer. I don't want a "gaming" laptop, but something all-around, not too heavy, good battery life (8+ hours productivity) with a great screen that I can reliably photo edit on. I do still want decent gaming performance, though. After watching lots of videos, I've come to the conclusion that a laptop with a 3050 might be the sweet spot. The 680m is really great for integrated graphics, but can't deliver 60fps in many recent games even on low settings. Now, once we see more 6800/6900 based laptops this summer, maybe I will change my mind depending on price and other variables like battery life. If I were buying right now, I might try something like the Asus Vivobook Pro 16X.
I had something similar in mind when buying my new laptop in December. Got the Lenovo Ideapad 5 Pro 16 with the 3050. Nice battery life. Somehow lighter and smaller then my old 15.6" gaming laptop. And a really nice 16:10 display.
@@1G1man1 what do you mean discrete is a strong word, I stated that the integrated graphics on amd is able to beat the mx450, im pretty sure the mx450 is a discrete gpu.

In my case the vega 7 got a 15k Compute score in Geekbench (Stock 25W) and the average MX 330 get's 9.9k points but I assume if we go both CPU and GPU usage at the same time the APU will lose some power on it's GPU side.
