It's also because if you are relaxed it allows you to consistently hit your notes, like if your tense it comes out as if the note is out of tune, which in turn allows you to hit higher notes
Seeing a valve trombone played so beautifully is kind of like attending the Special Olympics. Not quite sure what is going to happen but always lot's of love.
Louis quietly reminds us that less is always more and humility equals strength. Wayne is legend. Love the arrangement and the oh so smooth glide through the pristine musical air. Kudos to all for working together to produce a gem. Every instrument was first chair. "Every wish your heart desires will come to you."
About 2 weeks ago during a jazz camp i was attending, he visited, gave us tips, and played for us. He even told us his childhood background about when he was a kid first learning how to play the french horn, then trumpet(it was hilarious). It was truly remarkable to see him play in person.
Superb arrangement! Instantly goes on my best performances playlist This is me sitting in front of the castle, after the kiss goodnight, watching the castle colors changing and daring them to tell me the park is closing and the night is over. One of my favorite things to ever do in my life. 💕
I feel overly joyous about this video. seeing you and Wayne together is fascinating. from the covers to actual charts man congrats I absolutely love what you produce thank you for the videos!
I'm hearing this again for the 2nd time a couple months later...I had to click unlike, so I could like it again! Great arrangement, great musical playing by the soloists (no surprise there!) and everyone in the band sounds top notch as well...real nice style. I dig the reverse pyramid in the bones around the 1:54 mark...sweet writing! I hope you guys keep going with these cover videos; they're awesome!
Callum-This is the best new arrangement for Sing, Sing, Sing I have ever heard. And at 74 I have heard most. Your other charts are also exceptional. And the band does justice to all of them. Really looking forward to hearing more
Wow this is just amazing!!! It was such an awesome opportunity to have been able to spend some time talking with Wayne when he was the guest artist in a Jazz Festival at my college (UNCP) in little Pembroke, NC!!!
There are genuine tears coming from my eyes. This channel is very underrated. I'd pay just about any amount to have this on Amazon music or Spotify... Love you guys
Very nostalgic and great musicianship by all of you good job soloists you have a new fan thank you so much for the arrangement hope to see more like it take care
i haven’t listened to this in 4 years since i marched it my freshman year of marching band, and i’m listening to it now 3 weeks before i graduate hs. oh the memories
Great arrangement, awesome screaming harmony and beautiful tone Louis! Oh, yeah.............. the other guy wasn't to bad either (ha, ha) The entire group put out a wonderful sound. As Clark Terry used to say, " Keep on keeping on".
That part 0:15 and 0:40 are such a good way to start off with a song and it gives me the chills because the song is so good. And it's really good jazz off to Disney, and I like it very much. And 2:02 when Louis and Wayne both harmonized.
I just recently discovered you guys. So impressed with the quality of the recording, mix, and mastering...well, you do all of this without a gazillion dollar studio. That is pretty darn cool. Glad I get to listen to you wonderful musicians on UA-cam Premium. I have the Shure in ear monitors (535's) and it is a great way to enjoy the great sounds.
I constantly listen to these to train my ear for the upper register and of how clear and big a sound can be both up and down the register and also to see the ways great musicians interpret things musically and just cause its great 😀
This is fabulous. I can't imagine a band playing any better, cleaner or with better taste. It's a great tune too, and should be heard more often. You guys just blow me away. Bring back the big bands. :)
Louis - these youtubes are incredible. What an inspiration to hear you all just nailing it. Can you explain the process a bit? Without taking all the magic out of it...
The amount of subs and appreciation is nothing compared to the amount of effort and money and time to get everyone together and get the music and pieces
From 2:55 on -- I could listen to that all day. Just such a great example of upper range with done with feeling, not just screaming. Both these guys are excellent.
This is quite simply amazing. (Why would anyone EVER would give this a thumbs down!) I'm sure there's a cool story about how and where this was recorded, and more about who all these musicians are; superb players every one. I suppose I'll check out the Patreon page for more information. But kudos to everyone involved. Amazing musicianship, beautiful sounds. Thank you.
It's truly upsetting to see how underrated this channel is.
I know right?
most music with actual content is very underrated...:(
I was disappointed with myself for only subscribing now when I've seen this video before
Woah, wrong video.
Louis tries hard and he loves making music to let people hear what kind of music he plays on the trumpet i love it
Wayne freaking Bergeron. So pure.
Louis' embouchure looks so relaxed the whole time, it's crazy
That's because he uses a bunch of air instead of his face. Not an attack by the way.
Jfman000 HOW DO YOU DO IT LIKE THAT
Daniel Campos lots of practice. Use lots of air. Use more air to hit high notes instead of scrunching up your face.
Coruso method..
It's also because if you are relaxed it allows you to consistently hit your notes, like if your tense it comes out as if the note is out of tune, which in turn allows you to hit higher notes
Y'all should definitely collaborate with Wayne more often.
I wish they would too but it's probably really hard to get the best lead trumpet player he's got a lot of other gigs.
he should collaborate with mark zauss next time.
If you can ever make A Married Life from the movie Up, you would honestly be my new favorite trumpet player...right behind Woody Shaw.
Esdras Jules he already is my favorite trumpet player but if he actually covered that song I would *LOVE HIM*.
I would cry
Pls do
Yesss
It would not work I think
I love how Louis took the second part so the chart could fully feature Mr. Bergeron. A truly respectful and tactful move, I salute you sir.
Still listening to this in 2024! One of the best renditions of this piece ever! How has this not gotten more views?
That last g# was right on pitch. Damn Wayne
THAT WASNT A G# THAT WAS A DOUBLE Ab GOSH get it right lol

K
The note was ~1486hz. The end
The key was in Fb lol end of discussion.
Holy crap, please play Somewhere Over The Rainbow if you haven't. Pleeeeease.
Seeing a valve trombone played so beautifully is kind of like attending the Special Olympics. Not quite sure what is going to happen but always lot's of love.
Every once in a while I come back here just to remember how great this arrangement and players are. Keep it UP!!!!
That could bring a tear to a glass eye, it was so good.
Absolutely beautiful! Wonderful arrangement, great playing all around. Love that it is not just a trumpet wank, but just a great musical chart! Bri
So beautiful! This is a great arrangement too, loads of great little touches and nuances. World-class stuff here, well done all.
absolutely love the direction taken with this arrangement
I literally scream "Oh my God" at 3:35 everytime! Great job!
Louis quietly reminds us that less is always more and humility equals strength. Wayne is legend. Love the arrangement and the oh so smooth glide through the pristine musical air. This version deserves a MILLION likes!!
Sofia David it’s getting there
One of my favorite covers of all time. Beautiful arrangement as well, impressive and professional stuff.

Louis is awesome...... How is nobody talking about WAYNE. That man is the God of trumpet playing.
I would like to thank the orchestra for not over improvising. It is, in my opinion. one of the most beautiful songs ever written.
Incredible playing, just beautiful music - sax, trombones, horns, solo trumpets. Some of the most beautiful solo work out there. Wow, thank you.
I feel overly joyous about this video. seeing you and Wayne together is fascinating. from the covers to actual charts man congrats I absolutely love what you produce thank you for the videos!
Beautiful arrangement which builds to a phenomenal climax. Fantastic arranging and beautiful playing.💥
His tone🥺! I wish I had a group to play with..
Most of the recording done in a kitchen, quality unbelievable. This is still my favourite listened at least 30 times! All your work Louis is superb.
for a 12 year old, i really love jazz and this takes memory back at least 80 years. absolutely wonderful!
you say this memory takes you back 80 years yet you claim to be 12?

This so awesome! That's some smooth on point arranging, Neil Hefti and Nelson Riddle are smiling somewhere.
And Sammy Nestico, too!
My first thoughts, too! I'm an old man now, but, back in the day, I played a lot of Riddle, Hefti, and Nestico charts. Mr. Au (Gold) has a gift.
Awesome !!
Very beautiful! Has a very strong Gerry Mulligan feel, which I love.
Absolutely Sensational! Brilliant! Magnificent! Outstanding! So much talent. OMG!!!! Bravo! And Thanks!
