You can say that again. By looking at some old clips of "22 Minutes", I could tell that he should have had his own show sooner. With his rants and stuff like that, you could tell that he was just waiting to break out. I'm glad he finally got his own show when he did.

Rick Mercer is himself a homosexual, he's even in a same sex marriage. He doesn't hide it but he doesn't make a big deal of it which is the smartest move ever for someone who wants to be a serious actor/comedian and not treated any differently.

He called my mom (his sister) and asked if we could all hangout sometime, My mom said of course and the plan was to meet up at a coffee shop. As my mother and me were walking down the street this lady ran up to us and said " OMG I just saw Rick Mercer! Hes so cool" she had no idea that she was talking to Ricks sister. And you could see people with camera's taking pics of him from across the street

Rick Mercer has been on TV for as long as I can remember. He originally was a writer on 22 Minutes, which also has been out for years. (And then there's Royal Canadian Air Farce) Of course, you probably wouldn't find Canadian Political Satire that funny, being either American (which would make sense) or just not understanding the jokes. Its ok
