Drilling a 2.5 inch hole through stucco for a mini split air conditioner, using a Diablo carbide bit

Using a cordless drill and a carbide tipped hole saw with a carbide tipped center bit, it's straightforward to drill through the stucco exterior in about 60 seconds. In this case I was using a Diablo carbide tipped hole saw which was being sold at Home Depot for a little under $30 including the mandrel when I bought it.
