Hello mate. Qonder if you can work this weird one out.
Stock ‘03 bike which is left on trickle charge.
The standard exhaust has started popping (seems to be getting louder) and it has a rough idle.
Recently changed the oil and air
    + oil filter.
    Any ideas what’s causing this?

Sorry for late reply. If you didnt fix it yet try these things. Go through everything you did.air filter box could be problem.check for hoses that popped off around airbox.then start with all clamps on exhaust .header bolts 1st. But dont torque them down. Dont need to be that tight.air is getting into the system some how.thats where the popping comes from

    Hey mate, just a question.
My bike, same exact model, is lately stalling in neutral at stops even clutched in and also while riding will lose power for a sceond or two or will jerk forward sometimes as I deccelerating.
Do you have any idea what that might be?

Any popping or backfiring when it does it? Sounds like battery terminals loose or dirty. See if stator is charging at 14 v.Or a failing stator.check all kill switches.similar problems on 06-07 yamaha r6 .turned out to be coils arcing in spark plug hole.check those too.sounds electrical

If you have a power commander .unplug it. Could be an air leak ,or tps sensor(s) on carbs they go out all the time

@@motosolutions540 No I don't have a power commander, recently my plugs blew out and I had to fix the damage on the plug area of the engine, changed all plugs of course but thinking that maybe the impact caused a damaged on the nearby cables and now I have this stalling issue.
I also used cheaper gas before that incident, might add to the situation.
I thought tps sensor too, symptoms look similar to mine.
Anyway, as soon as I have news I'll inform the community here.
      Thanks

Did the bike start stalling after plug issue happened?
