Hi wizzlesticks. The "dirt" in the bucket (unbeknown to Hyacinth) is actually horse manure! It's not shown in the clip, but earlier in the episode, "Daddy" has gone to go and collect some horse manure, as he shared with Onslow that it is good for his chilblains. Suffice to say, Hyacinth is taken somewhat by surprise when seeing Daddy and chucking the dirt out (presuming it is water to put the fire out) and realising it is the dirt we see 😊
Only in Keeping Up Appearances in the 90's will you have them singing old songs... Annie Get Your Gun, Sisters... I would've thought they'd sing the 60's at least, if not 70's, Roy Clarke was old fashioned
It must have been VERY hard for her to act as if she was a bad singer as Hyacinth when she was actually a trained mezzo soprano and very talented singer....
