Listening to this was truly overwhelming. It made me realize how often we fail to be grateful for the life we have been blessed with. Alhamdulillah, for being chosen as servants of Allah. One passage deeply moved me: it was about the mercy of Allah shown through the actions of Jibreel (alayhi salam). When he placed dirt in the mouth of Firaun to prevent him from asking for forgiveness, knowing that even with all his disbelief, Allah's mercy could forgive him in an instant. Ya Allah, I seek Your forgiveness and repent for all my mistakes. I pray that You take me while You are pleased with me. Ameen.

Wow ... I got love for this man even though i never met you. You on the lex friedman show with you description of Islam... Is what planted the seed of Islam in my mind. I have found more peace, i have found clarity through Allah. I have not taken my shahada yet because i am learning to pray like the prohphet Muhammad (PBUH). To pray at on my lunch at work. I have been able to get a clear mind with no substances. I come here to say wonderful and articulate lecture from this brother. I come here to ask respectfully... How do I find peace or acceptance from Muslims not from America? I served in the US Marines. I went to Afghanistan. I did not hurt anyone innocent or luckilly never had to hurt anyone in general. But I ask the Muslim community respectfully, should I hide this fact of my life until people know me more? Should i have to bear shame of acts I did not do? I would kill to defend my life or my fellow Marines...but saw it as fair game if a combatant would do the same agaisnt me. I feel like i have to explain why i served as if to not offend or make brothers weary of me. I also served with quite a few Muslims collectively in an honorable fashion. Im looking for genuine advice not meaning to offend anyone. Thank you for your time should you choose to give an opinion on this matter.
Salaam brother. My advice, take shahada as soon as you can. Go to a local masjid and speak to your local Imam. They can guide you. Your sins are wiped from the moment you can take shahada and you begin a new life. The devil will try to delay you, and take you off track. It's best to do it now. With regards to your past, speak to the Imam, I don't think you have to share, it is your past, you've learnt from it and have found Islam. Islam is a global brotherhood, you will feel love for your brothers and sisters in Islam around the world. Take small steps, build the practices, learn about good deeds and purifying the soul, each day you will come closer to Allah, and remember this life is short, you have to follow the straight path to the next life, that will be ever lasting.
Muslims don't judge a person based on their past sins before accepting Islam. If you had watched the @Muslimlantern video about the ex-IDF soldier who accepted Islam, you would have seen how Muslims welcomed him, even though he admitted to having committed terrible acts and witnessed the worst atrocities happening to the Palestinians. This shows that Islam is a religion of forgiveness and acceptance. There are numerous examples in Islamic history of the same principles. For instance, Amr ibn al-As, a companion of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), was a commander who initially fought against Islam. However, when he accepted Islam, the Prophet welcomed him without holding his past actions against him, showing the true spirit of forgiveness in Islam. So, I would advise you, if you believe Islam is the truth, take your Shahada, and you can continue learning how to pray afterwards. Don't delay-none of us knows when our time will come, so don't take the risk of delaying it for so long that you will regret it on the Day of Judgment. No Muslim is perfect; we all learn, strive to be better, and try to do good.

Wow ... I got love for this man even though i never met you. You on the lex friedman show with you description of Islam... Is what planted the seed of Islam in my mind. I have found more peace, i have found clarity through Allah. I have not taken my shahada yet because i am learning to pray like the prohphet Muhammad (PBUH). To pray at on my lunch at work. I have been able to get a clear mind with no substances. I come here to say wonderful and articulate lecture from this brother. I come here to ask respectfully... How do I find peace or acceptance from Muslims not from America? I served in the US Marines. I went to Afghanistan. I did not hurt anyone innocent or luckilly never had to hurt anyone in general. But I ask the Muslim community respectfully, should I hide this fact of my life until people know me more? Should i have to bear shame of acts I did not do? I would kill to defend my life or my fellow Marines...but saw it as fair game if a combatant would do the same agaisnt me. I feel like i have to explain why i served as if to not offend or make brothers weary of me. I also served with quite a few Muslims collectively in an honorable fashion. Im looking for genuine advice not meaning to offend anyone. Thank you for your time should you choose to give an opinion on this matter.
Salaam brother. My advice, take shahada as soon as you can. Go to a local masjid and speak to your local Imam. They can guide you. Your sins are wiped from the moment you can take shahada and you begin a new life.
The devil will try to delay you, and take you off track. It's best to do it now.
With regards to your past, speak to the Imam, I don't think you have to share, it is your past, you've learnt from it and have found Islam.
Islam is a global brotherhood, you will feel love for your brothers and sisters in Islam around the world. Take small steps, build the practices, learn about good deeds and purifying the soul, each day you will come closer to Allah, and remember this life is short, you have to follow the straight path to the next life, that will be ever lasting.
Muslims don't judge a person based on their past sins before accepting Islam. If you had watched the @Muslimlantern video about the ex-IDF soldier who accepted Islam, you would have seen how Muslims welcomed him, even though he admitted to having committed terrible acts and witnessed the worst atrocities happening to the Palestinians. This shows that Islam is a religion of forgiveness and acceptance. There are numerous examples in Islamic history of the same principles.
For instance, Amr ibn al-As, a companion of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), was a commander who initially fought against Islam. However, when he accepted Islam, the Prophet welcomed him without holding his past actions against him, showing the true spirit of forgiveness in Islam.
So, I would advise you, if you believe Islam is the truth, take your Shahada, and you can continue learning how to pray afterwards. Don't delay-none of us knows when our time will come, so don't take the risk of delaying it for so long that you will regret it on the Day of Judgment. No Muslim is perfect; we all learn, strive to be better, and try to do good.

I don’t know if anyone will see this 😭 but I have a suggestion, as a revert I’m having trouble following at moments because I don’t understand Arabic well, I have an idea when there are important words in Arabic could you maybe put them in the top of the video and the way to pronounce them so it’s easier to recognize and remember, it would make following so much easier, Im still so thankful for this video and the knowledge I gained from it ❤️
