Making Jagdkommando Knife without a lathe or CNC machine Part 2
- KNIFE - NOT FOR SALE
This is the first ever hand made Jagdkommando knife where no CNC, milling machine nor a lathe were used to make it. It was made using basic tools like a grinder, files and a 2x42 belt grinder. In this two part video I show you all the details that went into making this knife. The reason I made this knife was to push myself to see my limits of craftsmanship and to explore new methods of steel sculpting. Thanks for watching.

Hi. Are you selling that knife? And how can I buy? Is it legal in Russia? Can you send me to St. Petersburg?
@@SLAVIKTELY 🤣 красивый ответ
@@SLAVIKTELY русский 😳😳😳
There's something very peaceful about watching a man working in solitude with the sound of rain on a metal roof in the background. Very nicely done, btw!
slowly we are losing them trades maybe that is why??
This is not knife making, this is a tour de force of engineering skill.
"The man was stabbed 44 times, but as per legislation the knife had only one edge, which made it perfectly safe"
Yeah, stupid laws.
I swear it looks better than the REAL thing!
that's one hell of a work you made...congrats!!! it really looks perfect
I loved how precisely you marked out the blade, and then doing everything with an angle grinder and belt sander was unreal! Thank you for making this video!
Your patience and craftsmanship is astounding. This is probably the most difficult knife to machine on professional equipment and you just did it on basic garage tools. You sir have earned my respect.
I am in awe at your ability to make clean and crisp blades with these basic hand tools. Highly skillful and commendable work. Excellent job!
Nobody:
UA-cam algorithm: *How to make a knife banned by the Geneva Convention at home*
You made me laugh. Awesome comment. PINNED!
Lmao
Not to rant but why is it banned?
I know those wounds are hard to patch up, but so are radiation/chemical/fragmentation wounds.
Seems unlikely that something like this would be unhumane.
Actually, it may even hurt less than your regular blunt bayonet.
@@lazar2175 Well, as this knife has 3 edges and it is said that when it is stabbed into someone you twist the blade and the resulting wound would be hard to apply first aid to in the battlefield and the blood loss will be massive considering the size of the wound that this knife would make. And also chemical/radiaton weapons are also banned by the convention
@@TechnoMasterBoy The goal of the war is that you win.
You can fight over land or money or whatever, but ultimate goal is taking something that you owned back or seizing something you never owned.
Now, how do you do that? You dominate the enemy, you kill their fighters and destroy their machinery.
Also, are you going to tell me that we made guns and bombs to wound the enemy?
No, the first thing they teach you at any army is to eliminate the threat, be it a tank or a man.
Oh and also these are not suitable for mounting on a gun and are too expensive to give to all soldiers plus they are not able to do everyday stuff like prepping food and cutting rope/fabric/etc.
All in all, this is a masterpiece and we should look at it as is.
Not overly practical, too expensive but good for killing people.
I could only imagine special forces like SAS and Seals using it.
I love how methodical and gentle you seem. You show yourself cleaning up metal shavings. You are the Bob Ross of knife making
This level of painstaking dedication and patience that you have for your craft is something that everyone can appreciate. Very beautiful finished product - well done, sir.
Thank you Brandon.
Many comments say: "nice"... Nice??? This is an outstanding display of talent and genius... They surely not even barely know what kind of ability is required to create a piece like this without a lathe. Go on my friend Slavik. I wish one day I will have my own little workshop and 1/4 of your talent. Greetings from Italy. Sincerely yours, Marco
Thank you Marco. You truly know what it takes to make this knife.
Dude, you are an absolute inspiration. I build electric guitars by hand, with only three power tools (router, electric drill, and a palm sander). Everything else I use are hand tools.
It takes a bit longer, but it gives me more control, where detail is concerned.
I just found your channel, and I was like, "Finally someone else who thinks this way."
Thanks.
That's awesome man hats off to ya from bass player and woodsmith

love this guy work.. very patient and calm.. not even talk a single work or make noise. thumbs up
This is definitely a multi talented person! I am a Welder of 35 yrs I can appreciate how difficult this is to make .
I admire when people of skill understand what it takes to make it.
I like the fact you've taken on the challenge somehow, "I don't think they can be handmade or whatnot" Slavik: 'hold my beer'
it's a amazing work, both videos were so good to watch (as the others), you are gifted sir, well done. /subscribed
Thank you.
Love the housekeeping. A clean shop is a safer shop.
Superb craftsmanship. Very enjoyable videos. I didn't even feel like skipping to the end to just see the finished product like I normally do.
Thank you for letting me know that I have accomplished an entertaining video build.
Now my head hurts from trying to comprehend the skill and patience needed to make this piece.
This is amazing, I've never seen a knife sanded into existence. Great job, thank you sir!
That's because it's totally illegal....
Very complex work to build this very atypical blade(if we can really call it a blade),I am very admiring but not surprised by the result ... this is the Master SLAVIK TELY
Thank you Clint.
This man made something impossible go possible🙏🏼
Talk about one hell of an old school machinist. This is how shit was done when machining was an art and skill not computer operated
This is a masterpiece of a video..Made these knife's myself with CNC machines and even with them you can screw whole knife with one mistake..Mad respect for hand-making it
Thank you. I guess it takes a master to see what other people can do with less.
hi keanu it's arnold this is a very good project to attempt, a cnc machine is well pricey take care now, i'll be back,
The best part of these videos are the highly professional editing. I just LOVE how you've shortened the process and not have been so ego maniac like many who HAVE to show their faces and/or put on horrible music.
Thank you for that, you're so very talented.
I actually thought you're living in Canada, never imagined you're in Cali...
Thanks Rex.
@@SLAVIKTELY You're so welcome. :D Thanks for replying!
A proper defination of dedication, hard work and passion.
Salute.
Slavik Tely, You re deffenitly very talented . when will you be getting a propor grinder 2x72. and a mill . if you had these two items you would be making some awsomer pieces.. I ask because I have been subed for a long time and have been waiting for you to get some real tooling... God Bless, Martin
Thanks for the like Mr. Tely.... Cheers Brother you should see the build I am attempting. So earley in my career as maker...
I need a shop to get those fancy tools.
I'm a machinist by trade, have been for 15 years and this is VERY impressive. I'd love to see what you could do with a proper lathe and mill! Fantastic work.
I would love to remake this one again on a lathe and a mill.
I have never been so impressed in my entire life.
that's the most beautifully hand made fancy nail I've ever seen! freakin awesome build dude!
I admire his patience and all of the effort he made to make this possible
Dude your patience is amazing. Great work.

Yeah I am from Texas.
Thank you Christopher.
Once again you have made a beautiful knife and made it look so easy. I admire your talent. Thank you so much for both videos and your good work.
You are welcome Mr. Parkin.
Hard work is better than a machine work😁 big thanks for showing us your talents😁
Omg that's knife is soo amazing. I never saw something like that made by hand, good job. Incredible
Extremely impressive!
Ladies and gentlemen, the world's most patient man!
I do agree with you.
Took the words right out of my head 😉
I've just found this talented man and I've instantly subscribed! 😁👍
WOW!! You are a great master of metal. I am a mechanic, o.k., but I would not be able to manufacture this in a hundred years! RESPECT!
Thank you.
The patience this man has is just amazing.
Maybe im weird, but i was most impressed by your math and planning of everything.
His process looked well thought out.
u got some mad skills with the angle grinder... i wouldn`t have the balls to grind it when it was nearly finished like u did on the handle....
Throughout the whole process it was scary to mess up in any part of this build. You mess up-you throw away all the work that was done.
"Here in Texas .... we don't have any rules, so this is perfectly legal to carry."
👍👍👍.
Ladies and gentlemen you have just watched a master craftsman at work. √
Somebody get this man a lathe
You got one?
1 year and a day ago today and I’m still watching this video. Amazing
Thank you.
Magnificent piece of work sir! You are an engineer/machinist of the very highest calibre!
That knife just warranted my subscription. Great work, can’t wait to see what you make next.
Check my other videos, you will find them just as entertaining.
Amazing craftsmanship man!👍👍👍

Damm that's some engineering , all that noise from making it would drive my lunatic nieghbor nuts 😁😎😎😁🤔
All the more reason to try this out yourself 🤣
Still cant believe you did this with a file man.....
Wait...illegal? What? oO
What an outstanding job! You are one of the finest knife craftsmen I have ever seen. I salute you.
Complexity of the knife.. What quality.
I would not have thought it possible to make such a knife without a lathe to help. Absolutely amazing work.
Thank you.

No disrespect to others, you are at a different level. Intricate work
Thank you very much.
I like that you keep a clean shop good work
What a brutal and beautiful dagger you made ! Great work man !
You sir are a craftsman
It’s illegal to stab somebody with a three bladed knife.........
Use single blade......... repeat three times.
Stay on the right side of the law.
🧐.
Knife laws are pretty dumb.
well of course first thinking then seeing second sentence I laughed my head off, three times, very funny.
It's not illegal stab someone one time? Wish I would have known that a long time ago.
They made that law because the hospitals can't stich that kind of stab
