    Man, that tube frame is one of the sweetest cages I've ever seen.....I grew up in the dirt track circle track racing and we've went through a slew of them.

    What's going on the Defender for steering? I'm dreaming of a Ultra 4 4500 style steering with a non powered steering box and a double ended ram. It just seems awesome but I don't know too much about anything haha.

    How do you decide between a bent tube and mitred ones? Is it just when you can't get a tight enough radius out of a bend? Love the videos btw guys, this channel is putting out the best fabrication content on UA-cam

    • @Kibbetech
      @Kibbetech  3 роки тому +1

      usually the same spots in every build are done the same way. Miter is also a lot easier to process than bent tubes. Miters also keep everything nice and flat for panels

    Noticed the Spidertrax rear axle housing lacked a jig or alignment bar in the housing, is warping less of a concern based on tig welding the links? Or were the mounts only being tacked?

    • @Kibbetech
      @Kibbetech  3 роки тому

      Don't need an alignment for for tabbing. Just gotta do it the right way

    This might be a dumb question. But is the billet, steel or aluminum. Wondering since it’s welded to steel.

    • @Kibbetech

      don't know, we have to get it final first. Corporate cruiser was 5940lbs I am guessing this will be 6500 range

    Not sure if I’m right or wrong but the back of the tube chassis looks weird. Should there be 8+ tubes coming into one point. Seems like it would be a weak point. But I’m not a builder. Lol

      @Kibbetech  3 роки тому +1

      well it is a good thing you are not a builder! lol Multi tube junctions are stronger than dead tubes

      @joshbertrand 3 роки тому

      @@Kibbetech probably just sound stupid but I loved your design on the billet rear shock mounts that are integrated into the cage. You are having your cage cut out in CAD. I thought it might be cool to do a huge billet piece on the connecting points. Expensive but I’m sure it would look killer.

      @@Kibbetech I am sure they arw incredibly strong and you guys obviously know way better than I do, but aluminum controls arms have always scared me. A friend of mine had aluminum A arms on a Yamaha Raptor that were a very poor design. They just left a bad taste in my mouth.
