Hellloooo! My name is Clancy and I'm originally from Long Island, NY, whch is about 40 minutes from NYC. In 2017, I moved to Ohio to become a TV news reporter, but after waking up at 2 a.m. for 5 years, I decided to leave that job and pursue UA-cam full-time.
I recently bought a house in Cincinnati and love making all kinds of videos, focusing on everything from money and finances (saving, budgeting, and being financally independent in your 20's) to health, fitness, and nutrition, to beauty and fashion.

I’m also a first time mom who never held a baby before my own and my son is 4 months old. Can confirm it becomes natural over time and you just learn your own baby the same way you learned Asher!

The new Home Depot decor looks great. I have just have one suggestion if you haven’t already done it. You need to fluff the olive tree plant. The branches should be able to moved out to look fuller. Play with the branches it won’t break & will look more realistic. I have a vase of them on my coffee table & people always think they are real. Keep up the good work.

Just a tip on the new faux tree- try to “fluff” the branches lol like spread the branches out more so it looks a little larger and all the branches aren’t so close to the center. I hope that makes sense lol!

I think it's important for first time parents to go to parenting classes. And seeing you grow week by week has been so awesome. TBH I have been craving (pun intended 😅) more baby content. It's so exciting! And Happy Anniversary to you and Zac! ❤🎉😊

Hi Clancy! Fellow Ohioan here! I love watching your vlogs, specifically your pregnancy ones! I just had my first baby three weeks ago and I would suggest watching newborn vlogs, tiktoks, reading books about what to expect. I feel like I was so interested in what pregnancy would look like every step of the way and was not prepared for the first few weeks with a newborn. I wish I would have been more prepared for some of the challenges within the first week and learning newborn cues to help my little one better. Sorry for the unsolicited advice but wish I looked into it sooner ❤Can’t wait for you to meet him! It is hard but also so amazing!

Man it's been hot in Southwest Virginia too! Our heat pump stopped cooling in the midst of the hottest day. Thank God we were able to get a HVAC contractor out here within 2 days. I could do without one meal a day before I could do without Air Conditioning. Cleaning tip for fake plants and books....get a can of compressed air and blow those babies! GET ON GOOD READS...I like the same type of books that you do!

Hey Clancy! Future nurse and high blood pressure girly here! Please do not take this the wrong way, but just to be sure, next time your face gets super red check your blood pressure! That is one of my main symptoms of my BP being high.
Also, I’ve read almost all of Frieda’s books and she is the best!! The inmate is my absolute favorite.

Clancy relax, the nurses will teach you everything you need to know in the hospital before you’re sent home. Plus a lot of the motherly instinct comes naturally. Not to mention what in the world did our parents do without google and social media, you will be an amazing mother, that’s very obvious by how great of a dog mom you are.

Girl the over heating while pregnant is so real😂😂 I get so hot so easily and I normally LOVE the heat. But when I start to feel hot my cheeks also get bright red😂

60°F is equal to around 16°C. Whether that's cold in Australia depends on the wind chill factor. I'd call it cool. A great, practical parenting book is "What To Expect The First Year" (it's a companion to What To Expect When You're Expecting).

Something that I always say if something bad happens: is it a bad day or a bad moment? You lost your debit card which makes a bad moment. It doesn’t mean a bad day. It’s only a bad day if you make it a bad day (you can always have a bad day but it makes it so that you look for the good in a bad day)
I live in the Dayton area and last week was brutal with the heat wave.. You're right.. 8am it was already in the 80s most days.

That fake tree looks so cute! That office chair looks amazing! Comfy office chairs are the best! I used to have a wooden chair and I always found it hard on my back. My dad gifted me an office chair many years ago and it is so much more comfortable to sit in. Also, the cats love it and the chair has lots of tears on the arms and seat from the cats sitting in it and scratching it so much.
I never knew that water could be toxic for babies. Being an only child and not having kids myself, I admit I'm very ignorant on the whole baby topic. It also never occurred to me to give a baby water, either. I always just assumed you give them milk in a bottle.
I’d held a lot of newborn before (big Irish family, someone is always having a baby). But I wasn’t used to not having to have permission to hold them. I was so out of it after I gave birth and I asked a nurse “can I hold her?” She was like “well, she’s your baby.”😂🤦🏼♀️
Where do you get your books for the kindle? Do you just wait forever on them from the library?

You will be fine, Clancy. It will all come naturally for you and you will be a great mom. No one is ever given a pamphlet that tells you how to take care of your baby when you leave the hospital. Educate yourself as much as you can and ask questions. A lot of your followers are mom's and if you ask they will tell you. Take advantage of all that knowledge. It's priceless. Then use what feels comfortable to you and you and your little guy will do fine. One little quick suggestion for you. Changing the diaper of a boy is a lot different than a girl. When you undo his diaper put a cloth over his little penis or you could get sprayed in the face! When the cold air hits them, it automatically makes them want to pee. Saves having to take a shower. We are here for you. ❤❤❤

*my accuweather just alerted me that there is excessive heat wave of 107 degrees and 84% humidity for next 48 hours lol i took 4 shower in last 24 hours bc i feel so gross and sweaty just existing & i hate humidity. makes me feel sticky & even more icky. 80s sound glorious right now haha* 😅😂
To add on to the watermelon guide: you want it to be big *for its size*, meaning whatever size it is, it should feel very heavy compared to others its same size. So big, yes, but big for its size. Good luck!!

The heat last week was absolutely horrible!!!! As soon as you walked out the door it hit you like a ton of bricks. It was terrible.
I am the same. I am either wearing the full glam look or the homeless boy look. With kids, you will learn. Know never to give a baby honey, which will cause infant botulism. That is an important one most wouldn't just naturally think of. You'll become comfortable with your child with time, and you can ask so many, your pediatrician, your mom, your friends, us, etc. if you have questions.

Reading a book called Glucose Revolution - by Jessie Inchauspe - and it mentions some health topics you’ve talked about. Have you read it? Curious what you would think.
You always have to support baby’s head until they can hold it up on their own around month 4-5. You want to make sure not to squeeze or apply pressure tho, especially on their soft spots which are on top and in the back and behind the ears. And yes, babies until 6 months should never be given anything other than breastmilk or formula. At 6 months you can start introducing small tastes of water and solids!

I got a red face that was super bad while pregnant. It continued after pregnancy too. I thought it was just related to hormones.
Clancy, you’re the best dog mom!! I highly recommend looking into a biologically appropriate dog diet. Unfortunately, a lot of chews, food, and treats on the market are packed with low quality ingredients and don’t do what they say. Marketing is very deceiving. Do your own research, you’ll find that a fresh food diet filled with whole food sources are the best for your pup, now and long term. And is not that much more expensive. I had “healthy” pets however I very much learned that surviving is not thriving.
Use parchment paper on your panini maker. Easier to clean
