- Well, it was a bit of bad timing to say the VSH maps on casual are still out of action (which they aren't), but the rest of the video remains true. VSH is suspiciously fun to play on both sides and I'm hesitantly becoming more optimistic about TF2's future.

I absolutely love what they did with VSH, the voice lines and stuff are great.
But that low health rtd for Sam as Saxton into perfect Market Garden was absolutely hilarious.

Vsh is one of my favorite gamemodes and to see it officialy in the game makes me smile
The Seal is absolutely a highlight of the update as it was the thing that got onto Know Your Meme.

I watched a bunch of spies with cloak and dagger lure Saxton with RPS and then jump him.
I saw that too! Everyone lost their shit about it
That happened in a game once and someone in chat said "Not the French corner"
The seal was 100% the highlight, hands down

I remember one match of VSH on official valve servers, the server reset and turned into normal nucleus, except it was still arena mode and also one team still had a hale.
Im pretty sure it was a bug with the server refreshing specifically because no one else was able to join and we slowly dwindled players, but everyone got to try hale a couple times and to be honest, a double Hale vs Hale VIP mode sounds like it could be really fun.
(Someone in the server suggested Hale vs Grey Mann in a mech suit and thats a good one)
Anyway official VHS has been a joy and even the bugs are enjoyable.
I mean, what Samwiz ran into was likely less VSH and more what it evolved into over the years. Freak Fortress. Same gameplay style but it kinda just turned into the kitchen sink in terms of what was thrown into it over the years. ...Like, I can get crusty old memes like Christian Brutal Sniper and a couple others I probably shouldn't out and out name, but the modular nature of the system made it ridiculously easy to create a lot of file size bloat extremely quickly.

When I Played Some Summer Maps On Casual, THEY WERE FULL OF SNIPER BOTS. And Another Thing Is That They Dont Even HURT EACHOTHER. So When I Played VSH THE BOTS MADE IT UNPLAYABLE BY NOT MOVING OR HURTING EACHOTHER!
You don't need to capitalize the first letter of every word, it makes it hard to read.
19:28 hey sam, just for your information, community vsh only has like 5 bosses: Saxton Hale, Tiny HHH, Painis Cupcake, Vagineer and Christian Brutal Sniper. Freak Fortress 2 (FF2) is the one with all the random bosses, like "The Rock" or "MLG Sniper" or the various "anime girl/boring horror thing as boss".

Valve Servers don't work the same as Community Servers.
They're hosted on linux systems, which do different things. I also heard the VSH gamemode relies on servers shutting down and restarting. Valve servers never shut down and restart.

It wouldnt since the casual script would put people in blue and red, while VsH2 Script would try to put only 1 player in blue team. So the 2 scripts kinda collided and that let to server crashes

VSH works on casual but only on some servers, also VSH is being botted for some reason
So samwiz, the casual VHS does work you just mark the mode only. And you get a chance to get the mode. It works for me. Weird though you can’t select it only.
By mode only I mean select every map

Now that’s a good idea. Now that VSH is in the game, custom VSH maps for certain seasonal events could actually work.

vsh in the vscript version's become alot more snappy. playing both versions, vscript seems to have much faster rounds. and from how often saxton hale vs the mercs win it seems pretty balanced to me.

What if you can get some sort of way to make a Saxton VS Saxton mode? Like it would not only be a fair 50/50 fight still, but it would be interesting to see two Saxtons just duking it out and jumping around the map.

Wow i played on this server when it wasnt available on casual and didnt even know you were a youtuber just thought you were a random player offering a way to play the gamemode.

I personally cant play the gamemode. I've played it on community servers in the past, but every match since release (and after the patch) my game full crashes after maybe 2 minutes. I still try once in a while, but my impressions are not high sadely.
I think it has something to do with one of his attacks or something.

Is there any way you could put up some kind of overlay to show who is speaking instead of zooming into the discord overlay every few seconds. It's disorientating and honestly it would be better to watch the gameplay rather than the logos lighting up.

Epic being mad about vsh constantly being on, as if he isnt contributing to the problem indirectly.If you want people to rtv off a map, don't always nominate the maps that stay on for like 8 hours (bigcity). It just makes people who don't like it want to not rtv. although tbh it is annoying being on vsh 24/7, i just would want to rtv more if i didnt constantly seem the nominate list have bigcity in it. If anything its even worse than most maps, because vsh has 4 maps people play, so people on a vsh map nominate the other 3, and it splits vsh players, and the one big city nominate unites people who dont want vsh (typically the minority)

As a pretty good vsh saxton player i do gotta say only medic with ubersaw and pyro airblast is broken as fuck ubersaw gives like half uber and we can get 2 medics and have like inf uber now that but a an entire team
