A view suggested I look into this newer style panels. These are really rugged, thin, and flexible. Great for curved applications. I really like how durable they are. Seems easy to mount if you are willing to used adhesives on your roof. You can also mount to a thin sheet of play wood if you want to put them on your cross bars. I think this is a great option for being more stealth too.

I just mounted a 100 watt Bougerv flex CIGS stick on panel on my van, I love it! I now have 300 watts on the roof.
Look fab they do.. definitely a winner for the cooler months.
That packaging used underneath might be a great way to protect paint.
love this option . can place the panels anywhere.. thanks
Great new charging options for your camping project! Thanks for sharing!
😊Alright can’t wait 😢for your future building project to your Honda Element you done a great job to the Sienna van
I saw a video yesterday by "Fifth Element Camping" that makes conversion stuff for the Element. It was very impressive. I think there is only one video on UA-cam about them.
Do you already have a buyer for the Sienna? 🙂Love those panels - amazing how much solar options are changing!
I actually have a few potential already. I will let you know when I am done if they decide not to buy
the company bougerv is making some really great quality products. i have a very small fridge/freezer that i use for a freezer (have a seperate larger fridge), and have purchased a lot of solar connectors, etc.
i'll investigate myself, but wondering about data on how these do when glued down, as overheating was an issue for older flex panels. i don't see these on amazon.
I have a link to their site in the description. I have seen a few options for "glueing" these down. Haven't decided what I will do yet. Bougerv also has an AC unit I want to try.
Have a Bluetti AC189 with a portable solar panel and have been wondering it they can be permanently mounted to the roof of my van? Do you know?
Looking forward to. Seing your next build!
Would be though to mount a portable because of the case it comes with. But I'm sure most things can be "rigged" to work.
Be careful of your paint it will destroy your paint and will over heat
Yes, if I decide on glueing to car, I will probably use the clear protection first. Still a while before I get to the Element. haha
