OMG. What a talent. Food for thought; These bass lines in all her videos were originally played by experienced players at the top of there game. This young lady in 5 years has self taught herself to match, and in some cases matched the original. She has groove, feel and soul in her playing that is so natural, that dare I say it "genius" for the limited time she has been playing. Her take on some Jamerson masterpieces would be great. I am a drummer not a bass player but this girl is class.FACT!
I think the real merit is composing them, not playing them As a classical guitar player honestly the left hand doesnt look that hard, l know bass is different with thicker strings and more force requiered on the right hand muscles, but l think in a guitar, with a pick, it would just be an average solo
@@hmlqrt2716 Let me just tell you, as a guitarist who now plays a lot of bass... whoo boy Force is one thing, but more importantly the frets are MASSIVE. Doesn't matter how big your hands are, you need to figure out good fretting and move your arm a lot FAST But the fact that it's possible play the same notes on guitar is kind of irrelevant seeing as it just wouldn't *sound* the same. And even then, (and I think this song would work pretty well since it's close to a classic "disco rhythm guitar" thing) it's necessary to have just as good timefeel and pocket Also worth noting that every cover she does _is_ to some extent original, she never 100% rote copies the original but improvises fills and mini themes. You're totally right that the writer of the original bass parts deserve credit too though, she clearly picks songs for a reason
Lady, I played all thru the disco era and I'm here to tell you that you are better than most. Great to see this level of understanding in a young person. Very enjoyable.
