    Don’t know any one as of yet March 2024 in the fire service (London) who has received the medal.

    Everyone in the British Army that is in service and was in service at the time will get it.

    Hi Sam. Here in America we don’t have a king born into king hood. We as the people vote for our leader here, our president. Very different cultures

      Very similar cultures, very different histories. You need to look into your history and learn about your country.

      Well I know that America was once part of great britian, that’s why we speak English and not American. We kept your language when we declared independence from great britian. Sorry. We don’t have time to create a new language. To many illegal immigrants to worry about.

    I just received my Coronation Service Medal last week. I was involved with the Queens Thanksgiving of Life service and Vigil at St Giles' Cathedral, four days after she passed away... and also the Honours of Scotland last July for Scottish royal week.

    Over 400,000 medals will be minted,and even now before they have even recieved one,service personnel who were in the parade have been listing their medal on ebay and have received bids of over 600 quid for an example from those desperate to be the first to own one.....without realising the actual value in a couple of years will only be a few hundred quid.

    “… so, pretty much everyone,” except, as you know, those with under 5 years, even if it’s only a day under… “Damn!” Sucks to be them!

    Hi, sam I have been watching your videos on the British army. Your videos encouraged me alot to move forward for applying to join the British army. But, I have a question as, I am joining from the commonwealth country. What is the process of indefinite leave to remain? I did some digging and found out, that we can apply for that after 4 years of service (mininum) and 2 years of the leave. Does that mean we cannot get indefinite leave to remain whilst serving in the army? I have plan to serve in the army for many years. This is my first question, my second question is regarding the rank of commonwealth soldier, can they get promoted to higher rank such as commissioned or non comissioned officer providing that the soldier does very good performance and has extraordinary experience or does that need British citizenship? My last and final question is can we expect pay rise if we do better performance than other privates.
    I hope you clarify!

      You will get a pay rise potentially twice a year or even three times if you are lucky. Government pay rise, rank adjusted pay rise and also if you get promoted. You can go really high up the ranks but I don’t know about citizenship unfortunately.

    You missed out members of the Emergency Services (Fire, Police & Ambulance) as well as the Prison Service who will also get the medal I believe. Much the same as those who got the Golden, Diamond & Platinum Jubilee Medals.

      Yes thats true. Do the RNLI get them ? If not then its a bit like Paramedics and Nurses. Paramedics get them but Nurses don't. PS Us paramedics are still waiting to get them

    Hello I’ve been looking for a role in the army that’s a bit more technical than a infantry soldier but still out on the field/active do you think the ELECTRONIC WARFARE & SIGNALS INTELLIGENCE role comes under that category?

    • @MilitaryFitness
      @MilitaryFitness  Рік тому

      Unfortunately not, EW is away all the time if you end up at certain units.

      @@MilitaryFitness yeah that’s what I would want. I would want to be active on the field but just a bit more technical in the sense of being able to have more skills

    So like every other operational medal.. made cheap with the lowest quality materials.. it’s remarkably sad when the medals I have are not even worth $10.. some have their lives it’s embarrassing
