I had to do an extra 4 weeks of training because of the shoot as did most people, but its funny the things you worry about beforehand. The only person i knew who got sent home was on day one because they couldn't pass the bleep test. They were told to train and come back. In the raf you are allowed to score 20% under on your first fitness test so they couldn't have been working on fitness at all. Not like me i watched your videos 😁😆 aha. Have to say i didnt make any friends in training though the flight staff were lovely but the other recruits didnt want to talk to me because i was older, same for a few others my age.
Hi Sam, just wanted to say thank you for all your brilliant videos and content. I am currently joining the reserves while working full time and your videos have helped me alleviate a lot of the anxieties I have had about joining. Thanks!
Would say no, but the nervousness is part of the game at the start due to the fear of the NCO's. Outside of Infantry its not that much of a Griz at all after your long weekend outside of final ex. Then you get to P2 and meet gucci blokes like Yoz here. Dont let P1 fear put you off.
Sir,first of all,i am from the other countrt(commonwealth) When i was 12 years old,i've been dreaming of joining the army, but suddenly,in my 18th yrs,i've been suffering from Sciatica, but, the doctor said that it's not much causing at all,and now,i am free from that pain, can i still join the Army. That's my dream after all.❤
Please I am from a commonwealth country. I completed the army corgnitive test, and I submitted my police report as well, so please how long will it take to get my assessment invite? Thank you
Sir, I will also say thank you for your inspirational videos. It's helping me to get my body prepared for the task ahead of me at the assessment center. I'm from a commonwealth country and I'm still waiting for my invitation letter. Thank you for helping someone like me because, to be honest, I didn't know what to do before getting to the assessment center.
I have high myopia and i barely can see anything but soon the Lord will heal me and give me the best vision im 15 turning 16 next year April soon i shall join the army and dedicate my whole life to the army and get a high rank but i shall keep my faith and see what the Lord has planned for me.
Doubt the lord will heal something he gave you in the first place but if u wanna be realistic as long as u wear glasses you'll get in unless maybe you're going for a diving or flying role
Before I started my application to join the British Army, my cousin, who was already in the UK, assisted me with the process. He told me to send my details to him. However, he inadvertently switched my first name and surname. Apart from that, all other information is correct. I noticed this mistake after receiving my RGMD report. Will this be a problem? @MilitaryFitness
Thank you for informative updates. Im 30, fit and healthy, and I want to join the army this year. I have a passion for languages and already know 4. Can you please give some recommendations on which role to choose? I have Latvian and British citizenship so intelligence is not for me. Thanks.
Going to basic soon infantry im hoping to join the rifles but was told by other people highly unlikely? Is this true u csn no longer join ur chosen infantry regiment
My absolute best advice is as a section, check each other over as you leave the room before parade. Collars, marks on boots etc. It will put you in really good stead for the rest of your career, and it will be noted by the troop screws.
@@GodfredGyamfiKyei I'd definitely pick a technical trade if you get the choice, me personally I'm a fitter gen which is a equipment mechanic simply that fixes any equipment the engineers use such as generators or even vehicles(better version of REME vm), you can use it at unit since pretty much there is always something broke and because you are a general fitter you can fix things you've not been officially taught how to fix, I'm abit biased but it's a jack of all trades. Electrican trade is the same as a civvy electrician, you don't get to use it much in the army if at all. Plumbing and heating is what it says on the tin, don't really use it either. @@veretinaruku3210 that I know of you won't touch your trade at all, I would say if it is something you find interesting and think you will enjoy doing then go for it but it doesn't matter what unit you go, you probably won't use it. Hi Sam I want to join the army but it will be in 3 years because I'm 13 but I want to tell you do I have to pass my GCSES to join the army because I don't want to do a technical role
If you don't get your gcses in school, you get forced to do it in your spare time in training and in the army since you need decent education to promote. You don't need it depending on the trade but if you want to spend more time being bored in a classroom feel free.
going for my assessment 3rd June at Pirbright, worried about the fact that I have psoriasis and that it will affect my chances at getting in. I had to make an appeal to get this far and I just wanted to know if you personally know anybody with psoriasis that has achieved getting a combat role.
My mate had psoriasis but I paster basic training in 84 lol and so did he but have heard that if you have it ,it's a no no not 100 per cent good luck though
