Less than 600 views? Video is so polished. Also while I disagree with labyrinth not being last, it was made up for by having star light first, which is also my favorite sonic 1 zone personally. I always got disappointed when people always have green hill first when its visuals and music and just momentum isn’t as consistently enjoyable as starlight.
No matter what, all the zones have excellent music and visuals! Seeing Marble Zone in full 3D in Lego Dimensions, and then Labyrinth Zone in Live-Action in Sonic movie 2, was so awesome to experience! (I firmly believe that we can bring back zones from previous games as long as it doesn't repeat to the point of exhaustion like Green Hill and Chemical Plant. I'd kill to see Spring Yard, Starlight, or even others like Bridge Zone and Jungle Zone from the Game Gear in modern glory!)
6. Labyrinth Zone. I don't actively hate Labyrinth zone with a passion, but I never look forward in playing it either. The fact that sonic just sludges along the water just turns me off rather that the level design itself. I can get through it just fine due to practice and knowing shortcuts but it's just the least replayable level in the game for me. Visuals are ok and I don't care much for the music. 5. Scrap Brain Zone I don't care very much for Scrap Brain either. I like the music and visuals fine(Mainly that the layout shifts from outside to inside the factory itself is a cool detail. Other than that, I mainly brute force the entirety of this zone while keeping track of my rings at all time. 4. Marble Zone. I really like the music for this stage being my second favorite under Star Light. I appreciate the more methodical platforming myself and like you said the waiting parts(the ones you can't skip are boring). 3. Spring Yard Really solid level with decent layout and obstacles. Music is really good along with the background city visuals. 2. Green Hill The most replayable and straightforward level in the game, absolutely no complaints in it's level design. Best visuals also with nice detail and color. Music is fine...okay really good and iconic and all that but I don't care for it that much. Really, the only reason Green Hill isn't number 1 is simply because the stage itslef has had many and many more iterations in the franchise and I'm sick of seeing it. 1. Star Light Absolute best music in the game by a long shot, calming and not too distracting how I like it. The visuals are ok but they could have been better imo. I mostly like the stage layout except a few parts which dont hinder my placing. All in all, this zone is heavily underused and could have been brought back instead of Green Hill or Chemical Plant etc.
@@JustMaxT I understand, but I've played and replayed Sonic 1 since I was ten, so a lot of it's bullshit I'm used to. Also, Starlight Zone is the best.
I was expecting weird opinions... But you gave solid explaining to place Labirinth above Marbl...and to save your ass from getting destroyed by the comments... I also lerned how to speedrun Labirinth...my favorite skip is right at the begining of Act 1...i do a spindash and jump before landing in the small water pool...which skips that said water pool with no slowdown.... And i lerned it on my own.... IT WAS SATISTFYING I always said that Labirinth is okay... The spindash saves this stage....since it goes kinda fast even underwater.... Decent yet interesting rankings....
Star light over Green hill? I know all of this is subjective but I can't imagine somebody enjoying Star light more than Green hill😭 Also great video, though I don't know how it took you 2 months to get this video out. Were you by any chance fighting your demons again?
While I do understand the criticisms of Sonic 1, some I even agree with, like the pacing of the game and levels like Labyrinth Zone, I don't know. Maybe it's nostalgia, I mean, I have been playing this very game since like, 2002 or 2003, somewhere around that time, so probably longer than some of your audience members have been alive. And maybe it's also because of the fact that this was one of the very first video games I had ever played, or even remember playing as a kid, along with Sonic 2 and Sonic 3 and Knuckles. Sonic 1 is just so ingrained into my head and with the amount of times I've played it, I just can't stay mad at this game. It's fun. Sure, there are some moments that are slow and off-putting, but the overall experience is still really good to me.
The editing goes hard AND the takes are based? Cooking.
As per usual
@@JustMaxT ofc
Thanks for not rating Labyrinth the absolute worst, points for originality and points in general for being entertaining 👍
I liked the part where Sonic said ‘Haha, one!’ and then never made it past marble hill zone in his playthrough
Imo the best part was when Sonic said “This was our Sonic The Hedgehog (1991)” and Sonic The Hedgehog (1991)ed all over Eggman
I'm more of a Toxic Caves fan, but Labyrinth Zone has come around on me
Toxic Labyrinth, worst of both worlds 🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥🔥

Another joins the starlight > green hill zone club
I BEEN in the club bro, banger zone
Spring Yard ZONE is GOATED!
Also Sonic 1 has better music than sonic 2
But sonic 2 has better levels!
I can go back and forth with the music on both games, but two definitely has better levels. Maybe I’ll rank those zones too…
@JustMaxT that's a hard task good luck ranking them 🤣👍

I really liked this kind of video. Are you gonna rank 2, 3, and Knuckles?
Probably, I think it could be fun

Scrap Brain isn't that bad. I like it's changes. Act 3 can die in a hole, but the first two I like a lot. Nice video.
It’s got elements I like, but agree to disagree. Thank you tho 🙏

I’m always fighting my demons (procrastinating and working on college assignments, this video shouldn’t have taken more than a week or two)

Labyrinth Zone got you when nobody else does
I swear Marble Zone is just the big brother of Metropolis Zone from Sonic 2.
I think the Owls had to bribe to get Labyrinth Zone that high 😵💫
The owls know the technique
Sonic 1 made the terrible mistake of adding Green Hill so... SONIC 1 RUINED THE SONIC FRANCHISE
I KNOW THE STAGE IS SO OVER USED WHY DID THEY ADD IT 😭😭😭
It isn't necessarily green hill's fault, even if the first stage was something else, that something else would be overused instead😭
For me
1.Starlight
2.Green hill
3.Marble
4.scrap brain
5.Spring yard
6.Labrinth
