I surfed here once long ago, It was my first day surfing, I didn't have a leash, The waves were breaking up to the stairs, I didn't actually get in the water, Can I like this?
@@ejectoraircoasters222 I’d say there’s more waves in San Diego county to surf though. You got San Clem up, so many spots it’s pretty crazy. Def not within as close proximity as Santa crux though.
@@ejectoraircoasters222 steamer is where I first stood up and was the biggest I ever rode so I will always have a speacial place I’m my heart for the lane….but from just in between swamis to sea side you a way bigger wave selection….and you would be surprised at how many Barney’s leave many peaks un touched just so they don’t have to walk down the beach a little
Im a 38, talented(little experience with board sports) and going to start surfing. ??????Can I start off with a 7’7” or should I get a longer one??????? I live in Southern California and there are really small waves right now
7 7 is cool, if you have the cash I reccomend you get a wavestorm soft top (which is 8 ft)so you get the feel for standing up bc its a lot easier to catch waves on that thing. Then you can get a smaller quicker board like the 7 7 would be perfect after that. Good luck man.
@@maxklar1910 lmao it was an absolute ZOO when I was there. Longboard drop in city, better off at Steamer Lane if you're mediocre or above. I caught 2 waves in 90 minutes and got snaked both times
You can only like this if you’ve surfed pleasure point
👏
Have you been to swami's in san Diego?
what if u live and surf there almost everyday :o
SC local right here ✌

Love the point! My home break was “the hook’” and 38th.... I miss Santa Cruz. But I’m spoiled now here in SD hah!!
well Steamer Lane is much better than almost every good wave in SD, plus there's never more than 25 guys out

@@Jay-fq8uz yeah that’s true for sure. Some of those reefs in La Jolla are sick. Plus with Blacks and seaside and swamis too. SD is pretty awesome
A lot warmer too

No need to mention the location. Much preferred to just say central cal or Santa Cruz

This wave is REALLY good... the crowd and etiquette of the surfers isn't
It hurts my eyes to watch the skinny long haired guy surf.
