Tracey with all of the beauty and size of your portage you definetely need to build yourselve a little shaded seating area somewhere around the middle. With the heat you described you need it sister ! My potage is a quarter of your's and even I squeezed in 3 chairs and a small umbrella table to sit and rest in the shade and enjoy the beauty of my space. It would also really add to the beauty and function of the space. Thanks for the tour. You 2 are doing a fabulous job !

Tracey, Your garden is beautiful as always! I'm sure it is balm to your soul to be able to garden this year after dealing with sickness I'm 2023. I too am growing some of Florets seeds this season. you chose different zinnias then I did and I am excited to see how yours turn out!!

Just beautiful! I add lots of roses and flowers to my herb and vegetable garden, it just makes me love to hang out there. Even pulling weeds is enjoyable when you are smelling roses and flowering sweet peas.

I did a bed with asparagus and strawberries in it , after watching your video. This year is going to be the first full year and they look absolutely beautiful. Here in Indiana I'm still waiting for my first strawberry😊

What an awesome garden! I have had or have almost everything you talked about except the roses. I was most surprised by Sweet Annie. I love the smell of it however if I let it make seed to will have it everywhere. 😄

I am hoping my back that I tweaked last week, I mentioned it in my last video, is feeling well enough that I can get more yard work done. I am seeing a chiropractor and will get an adjustment tomorrow! Prayers please, I have so much to do, I can't be laid up right now. 🙏🙏🙏

I'm surprised your brassicas haven't started boulting yet. Tracey it's ok to show all the work in progress. If you were not showing what was really going on with the gardens it wouldn't be a true video. Thank you for showing it. Could you please tell me what brand of solar and the solar pump that your sweet honey is using? The gardens are looking lovely.

Just finished a tunnel trellis for my hops passion flowers n loofahs. Dang I sure don’t like getting old. That trellis whooped me. Dang t-post clips hard for old hands. Gonna order some metal zip ties. Cause gotta put up trellis for my climbing roses. Want a Peggy Martin so bad but hard to find here. Bought some propagations but they didn’t make it. 😢

I love your garden, is that straw you use around all the plants? I just purchased 10 of the red double knock out rose bushes to plant across the front of my property. I will need more I think!

Thank you for the lovely tour! Have you cooked with Yukon Gold potatoes at all? I found them to change the taste of recipes too much for my taste, wondered what you thought. I'm in southern Colorado, and the medicinal herbs just don't weather well, unless they're surrounded by thorns or barbs.
I use them a lot for baking potatoes
Your haven is beautiful. Please enlighten me on how I can keep the aphids/ants off my purple hull peas. I refuse 7dust but with all the rain we've had spraying neem oil is futile.
The ants are probably after the aphids.
Attract beneficial insects to the garden by planting herbs and flowers that attract them
Spray with an organic insecticide soap
They typically live under the leaf so target spray there

My first year to do Garlic. How do I know when its time to harvest?
The foliage will start yellowing and will fall over
So what is the difference in the rain coming from overhead and watering from overhead?
None it’s just when you water overhead
We are doing that everyday
If we get a lot of rain it’s the same issues

It kinda looks like plne needles and broken down leaves that's why I was asking. I covered everything with leaves.
I’m an avid animal lover. All animals but I have developed real hatred of groundhogs for decimating my brassica’s and voles eating my root crops n seeds. And my Yes they are DEMONS. Sent to torment me. Lmbo but I’m not laughing.
