I tried your step by step instruction in Photoshop 5.1 it worked exactly like the video. I had a little trouble using the Quick Selection Tool. I erased the background and by pass the masking. I viewed several videos and this one was very simplistic. My level of proficiency is a beginner. Thank you for this video. I will certainly subscribe and like!

That's nice, real nice. Personally, I prefer pen tool, it makes me feel good, you get amazing art that you poured hours into, especially if you go detail for detail, vexel or whatever, you feel accomplished, but I understand others that just don't have enough time, or simply don't want to utilize pen tool. Overall, great tutorial for everyone, nice little "shortcut", although if someone is beginner, I would personally recommend to learn with the pen tool first.

I watched the tutorial by the other guy using the pen tool and I thought that technique is great for learning how to trace/isolate elements for further mastery of photoshop. The method you use is the same technique I always use for tooning a photo. The rotation and diffusing of the image seemed odd to me... I realized after messing around with my version of photo shop and watching your other video that your version has a glitch in it. When I did the rotation and diffusing the resulting image was over processed. So I backed up 3 steps of rotation plus 3 steps of diffusing and only needed to diffuse once and then I applied my final filter. Overall, I appreciate your video... I ended up with a very nice and very clean image!

Hey, if we have the Oil Paint filter what settings should we use in it?

I tried to reproduce the same with oil paint on an image I have. Stylization 6 and Cleanliness 7, after the Smart Sharpen step. I don't think it will be the same settings to you or anyone who have the same question. I would recommend to make the same as in the video and use the vertical comparison to make the same effect.
