Shoot, my dad was paying I believe around...$1,200 for my four siblings and I. But he was able to afford that since they do it off of your monthly income to my knowledge.
I'm from Oregon and I call BS on this. It's around $281.00 minimum to pay for child support. Oregon makes sure that dad's pay. They will take a percentage of their wages. I doubt she went for child support.

When I use to work for child support, if there was an overpayment, we notify the bank of overpayment and they send the funds back.... I guess it depends on the state, because I was wondering why he didn’t just notify the state of overpayment to get the funds returned.

I do not know how anyone can watch these court episodes and conclude the American judicial system is fair and impartial. The judge’s on most of these shows are self-centered and short-tempered. Although televised segments are inherently more theatrical, I imagine proceedings not dependent on network ratings are likely conducted similarly.

I’m convinced he left because he quit using and she didn’t. Also, the state only gets the arrears if she owes the state for TANF/AFDC. All of the arrears in my case are owed to my kid. None of it goes to the state. In order for her to have the authority to waive it, it had to be owed to her. She can’t waive arrears owed to the state. So, she had to waive the arrears. If they had been paid to her, CS would have held her responsible for paying it all back.

She should have returned the money back to child support so he can get it. Because the money belongs to kids. If she didn't have drug problem she could have kept the children and would have gotten the 7000 plus he would have to be made to pay child support with interest if he's late on paying. But she made the agreement. But yes the man could have let that go.
Donna Bully he was never behind on support, they modified it when he got the kids and he had 0 balance but it kept accruing in the system while he had the kids, when they signed the “waiver” it was too late to waive the current month so he paid it in cash and that is why it went to her card, she didn’t deserve any of that money because he had the kids that whole time and was caring for them

I do not know how anyone can watch these court episodes and conclude the American judicial system is fair and impartial. The judge’s on most of these shows are self-centered and short-tempered. Although televised segments are inherently more theatrical, I imagine proceedings not dependent on network ratings are likely conducted similarly.

I’m convinced he left because he quit using and she didn’t. Also, the state only gets the arrears if she owes the state for TANF/AFDC. All of the arrears in my case are owed to my kid. None of it goes to the state. In order for her to have the authority to waive it, it had to be owed to her. She can’t waive arrears owed to the state. So, she had to waive the arrears. If they had been paid to her, CS would have held her responsible for paying it all back.

She should have returned the money back to child support so he can get it. Because the money belongs to kids. If she didn't have drug problem she could have kept the children and would have gotten the 7000 plus he would have to be made to pay child support with interest if he's late on paying. But she made the agreement. But yes the man could have let that go.
Donna Bully he was never behind on support, they modified it when he got the kids and he had 0 balance but it kept accruing in the system while he had the kids, when they signed the “waiver” it was too late to waive the current month so he paid it in cash and that is why it went to her card, she didn’t deserve any of that money because he had the kids that whole time and was caring for them
