I always liked Wilder, seems like a genuine bloke & exciting to watch knowing he can win with one punch… he didn’t cover himself with glory after those Fury defeats, that was disappointing from him.
I think after 2nd Fury fight people started to hate him a bit but he's still a great fighter

Glad wilder is back in a good spot mentally...i was a fan back in like 2014 before any1 knew who he was, and lost all respect after he threw his cornerman and one of the most beloved and revered guys in the boxing community, Mark Breland, for doing his job and saving his fighter longevity. All the excusesand classless comments about catching a body n stuff. Hes a good dude at heart, he just let his emotions and ego control him for a year or 2. Didnt help having a bunch of 'yesmen' around him that were afraid to check him n be a real friend. Wish him best of luck and another championship run reppin the good ol USofA on top...once again!!

One thing I’ll say about England that back their fighters to no end. The american heavyweight champ at the time got no respect or appreciation from his countrymen until he lost. People were rooting for a guy from another county to beat OUR champion
Because Deontay is not a champion worth cheering for. As an American, him simply sharing the same nationality as me is not enough for me to support him. His lack of sportsmanship, delusional and straight up disrespectful belief that he’s better than guys like Ali or Tyson (Mike), him stat padding his record against weak ass bums and then losing the moment he faces somebody who is actually elite, making both excuses and conspiracy theories as to why he lost from his costume being to heavy and tiring him out before he fought and to his water being spiked and to Fury’s gloves being tampered with, him putting himself on a pedestal as a the man of the people especially black people and people of color like Ali and then wrongfully firing his coach Mark Breland for simply doing his job and protecting Wilder’s safety and throwing in the towel as he was getting beaten to hell by Fury who was the only black person on Wilder’s corner and Wilder did this on black history month no less, and just not taking his training seriously as he himself admitted that he doesn’t even run to train for his fights and wonders why he’s getting gassed when fighting elite fighters like Fury and Parker.
Wilder is a disgrace to boxing and him being American like me is not enough (by any metric) for him to earn my support to cheer or root for him.
