There is absolutely no doubt. Usyk absolutely schooled him. Fury wasn’t stopped because Usyk chose not finish him. He played Fury throughout the fight and I have no doubt, he will beat Fury again in the rematch.

Saved by the ref and the bell. Usyk was the clear winner. Not even a dodgy ref and judge could save Fury.
Visually you could say Usyk "clearly" won because he did the most damage with that 10-8 round. But boxing isn't about just one glamorous round. I believe Usyk won as well, but don't say it was a clear win. Tyson won at least 5 or 6 rounds.
The refs job is to keep the players safe by calling the fight. But in such a huge match, that bar goes up. The ref will wait longer before giving an undefeated champ a loss. And proved to be a good decision, Fury was still able to continue.
@@gray_gogyMate it was clear. Rewatch the early rounds. Rounds 1,2 and 3 were close but the first and second one are clearly for Usyk. Rounds 4-6 Fury, round 7 - close, Round 8 Usyk, Round 9 - 100% a 10/8 for Usyk, Rounds 10-11 Usyk, Round 12 - close. Even if you give all the close rounds to Fury (though you really shouldn’t since it was Usyk who had the initiative, was setting the pace and pushing forward), you still have Usyk winning by a point.
In the nine round, it should be 10/ 7 round to usk or a stoppage
There is a lonstanding rule in boxing that is called "standing knockdown" in case u didn't know My man. As a fellow boxing fan i'm sure u have watched the great fights of the 80's era champs where some fights where decided by this rule, so i'm pretty sure u forgot about it

Fury got knocked down but his length and the ring position made that he was held up by the ropes when he fell. That was a normal knock down, rightful 8 count, just basic boxing rules.
But all Tyson had to do is take a knee and get a 8 count. he hadn't even been knocked down at that point, a ref isn't going to stop an undisputed fight before one of them has hit the deck a few times. never mind before he has touch the canvas once lol. Literally, he could have taken a knee at any point but was that tough he wouldn't let that happen. Not much in the fight at all and there was a split decision so by rights that is controversial as one of the judges thought tyson won it.
So I understand you're not into boxing and understand rules of boxing that well. But if the ropes keep a fighter up, it's counted as a knockdown and you get a count, fury was held up by the ropes so therefore a knock down. Hitting a guy being held up by the ropes is like hitting a downed opponent.
The ref did his job perfectly, and the right man won the fight.

There is no standing eight (8) count. There will be a mandatory eight (8) count after a knockdown (when three (3) parts of the body touch the canvas). If the ropes prevent a boxer from going down, the referee will call it a knockdown and it shall be considered by the judges accordingly.

Not really. Was a split decision. Usyk was incredible. But Tyson fought his fight. Both men were warriors. That’s a fight that’s worth a rematch.

@@choke9270 The only explanation I can find as for why it was a split decision is that the second judge was on some magic powder. In no way was this match a walk in the park for Usyk, obviously very far from it, but it was a clear victory for him without any doubts, the match should've ended with a unanimous decision. Usyk pressed the whole time and dominated the match overall, he won the majority of the rounds, especially the last ones, and he knockdowned Fury (which, to be fair, could've been a knockout as well - I mean, let's not pretend matches have never been stopped after moments like that before). All Fury managed to do is land some puches from time to time, most of which barely had any effect on Usyk. In my opinion, what Fury was able to squeeze out of the fight was not nearly enough to be considered worthy of a victory, given what Usyk managed to do.

Im a huge huge Tyson fury fan ! I love his story and how much adversity he has overcome. However, I need to be honest , he lost this fight very convincingly .

No one can deny they put on a show love or hate either they both delivered on the biggest stage in boxing with the biggest prize at stake . Very close fight and personally i think the round of 9 was the difference maker otherwise its a draw for me imo .. well done to both fighters amazing show .
