Though there IS a certain somebody in this community who is hella famous for just that. I don't need to explain myself further if you were there when all those videos surfaced, circa 2020. Also, Sprite Animation as a job... a freaking JOB!? If Sprite Animators did all of this as a full time job, series like SMBZ, Heroes of The Stars, Super Mario Bros The Legendary Warrior, as well as smaller fan character series would have either been complete or at their halfway point YEARS ago. Most of these animators do it as a hobby, like you said. They generally don't have a full time crew to help them out. If by repetitive animation you mean traced animation, just read the second and last sentence of my first paragraph. It's not "annual" but it is frequent enough to show that the individual I'm alluding to isn't trying hard enough to improve. If you know, you know.
Also forgot to add I love freedom planet and Sonic they're both my favorite video games well speed-wise. And not to sound like a fanboy here I do love Sonic X lilac
Gotta say after seeing this episode, I'm eager to see the rest when they are ready to go! One thing I really like is seeing Eggman work together with Sonic and the gang, something that virtually unheard of in sprite animation series, so hope to see him stick around on the heroes side!
This is a pretty impressive effort! Nice to see Freedom Planet get a full fanmade animated sprite comic / sprite animation thing! The dialogue texts move at a bit of a slow pace, so I watched this video at 2x speed. There's also a part where the TV suggests any suspicious news gets reported to "us" but it seems unclear who "us" is? Tri-Kingdom News? Maria Notte? Shang Tu Police? 16:52 - The audio here is way too loud. There's a few audio peaks throughout the whole thing, but this one was particularly unpleasant. 18:54 - Art style clashes strongly with the art used elsewhere for the entire video. 21:20 - Sash Lilac, Carol Tea, and Milla Basset are actually owned by ZiyoLing, used by GalaxyTrail with permission and crediting. Overall, it's been a fun watch! I like that the general tone of Freedom Planet is preserved pretty well in their segment around the 6:00 mark! Looking forward to seeing how this series shapes out as things progress. Keep up the good work!

All this community needs now is a crossover between SEGA and Team Salvato. I would love that and others will, too. That's what's missing, because there's already dozens of art and a couple mods. After all, DDLC's 3rd anniversary was 2 months ago. A series would be the biggest honor to it.

Hm, i gotta say, this was a very solid Start, very well done. You said there some stuff that had to be changed and I can see that, seriously you separated Earth and Mobius? Weren’t they supposed to be the same Planet regardless of the continuity? Anyway, despite that, this wasn’t bad, not all, especially with that Prologue in the Beginning, i wonder what that was about? By the way, when exactly is this supposed to take place in both Universe? If you have given that any thought that is? Also, did Infinite take all of the Chaos Emeralds or just one? Oh, also, does that little jingle always have to play when the Chaos Emeralds appear in these Series?
We better hope he's kept out as much as possible for the Freedom Planet Verse's sake (Sonic being there is already bad enough but Shadow is just extra overkill on top of what was already overkill)

Dude I want to thank you for giving infinite some respect I love Sonic forces but the one problem I have with the game was it's villain was strong in the beginning and then just became a mid boss in the end but you take infinite best qualities and made it his entire character and I love it I love how he's more of a menacing and a threat I feel like if Sonic forces had more time it could have been more fleshed out the characters could be more flushed out the story would have been better the mechanics would be better
I discovered this a long while ago, but I for some reason never got around to watching this, but now that I did and seeing your previews for episode 2, I can't wait to see more of this series, it's definitely full of potential. Especially if you can actually make Infinite a better villain in this, lol. That said, I only have one thing to critique. Since Mobius isn't a thing in the mainstream games of Sonic, only in the old cartoons and the Archie comics, I'm just gonna mentally change that line to Blaze's world. Anyway, really looking forward to episode 2, hope it comes out sometime this year! :D

This actually isn’t my first rodeo with a crossover between Sonic and Freedom Planet. I originally read this fanfic back in high school, I can’t remember the name of it. I remember enjoying it allot back then but I barely remember anything from it. Seeing a fan made animated Sonic and Freedom Planet series. It just puts a tear in my eye, I’m glad I can actually watch a crossover instead of reading it. Well I’m still reading this because no voice overs but you know what I mean. I honestly don’t mind that this doesn’t have voice overs cuz i imagine it’s hard enough animating the darn thing and getting voice actors would most definitely be a pain so I really don’t mind the lack of voices. Anyways, really hope you’re able to make some great with these two.

How do you get in contact with Mark Haynes? I'm asking because I'm trying to make a sprite series that's story based off of Naruto, Dragon Ball Z, and Sonic Unleashed using characters from Mario, Sonic, Pokemon, Digimon, and Freedom Planet and I plan on taking inspirations from other sprite animators and using them in my sprite series. But I need his help with the story of it that I currently still typing online and how to sprite animate originally and make them the exact opposite of the original ones that currently exist.

I've wanted to make a sprite series story based off of Naruto, and Dragon Ball Z using characters from Mario, Sonic and Freedom Planet, and this was after I once watch Super Mario Bros Z and love it, but the one sprite series that's I liked and still inspiring me to become a sprite animator right now was this one sprite series called Sonic and Shadow: The Hidden Bonds created by Joshua E Frazier, that series was story based off of the Sasuke Retrieval Arc from Naruto using Sonic characters and Mario characters and one Pokemon character. I like you to watch it and see if you liked it or not unless you've already seen it on UA-cam.

@@Fabul124 Oh shoot I just saw this now. I actually stated this in the teaser trailer for the series, but at the moment I'm planning on it being 5 parts long. Might seem short, but each episode will probably be decently long.
Made em' in photoshop. I basically just started with a rectangle and then add colour, edges, etc. The character pictures I use were just ripped from other media.
Whatever happened to shadow he was missing and not with the others because I saw him at Eggman base there is a chance that he got teleported somewhere else but everyone else got teleport together
Did you figure it out from the first scene or the end credit scene? I'm guessing the first scene, I didn't do an incredible job at hiding it was him XD

Also, i know this is a little late but if Milla and Carol could handle those robots, there’s literally no reason Tails or Amy who are stronger and faster than all 3 were unable to lol.
I can see where you're coming from, but I do believe there is an explanation. They were all weakened at this point from what happened before being sent to Avalice. Plus, Tails got sneak attacked, basically knocking the wind out of him.
Some wall level robots would hardly affect either of the two considering their durability is far too high for Avalice’s robots. Tails and Amy are City Block Level+ to Multi-City Block Level in both attack power and durability, so they’d literally just shrug anything that Avalice throws at them off like it’s nothing, considering their best is in the Building Level range. And Amy is still in the Supersonic+ ranges of speed, so even if she was tired she’d still be far faster than Lilac who is only Transonic. Don’t even get me started on people like Sonic, Shadow or Knuckles who are both Multi Continent Level (literally in the Dragon Ball tiers of power) and Faster than Light in base form, who are literally invincible to anyone in Freedom Planet.’

@MartanisIV sorry for not being able to reply to you, but my computer was down atm so I wasn’t able to reply, I already commented as to why that wouldn’t work on Sonic characters at all basically. I will admit I highballed Tails a little bit (he’s only City Block Level at most but a single shot wouldn’t one shot Lilac who is only Building Level+ to Large Building Level herself, so a single shot wouldn’t knock the wind out of tails either, off guard or not considering they apparently can’t even do that to Lilac or Carol. Sonic is an obvious case because he’s capable of tanking far worse even when off guard).
@Sonicforce basically just look up any of his scaling. Shadow for example can react in the light speed circuit without any problems, or Sonic casually outpacing natural lightning which moves at Mach 1,294 without an issue. I would post the links but UA-cam is dumb.
This is an impressive animation and I have to say if you love both freedom planet and sonic(which I’m sure you do), you should read this fanfiction called tides of chaos there are three parts of this and the crossover and dialogue is amazing, you should check it out.

Made em' in photoshop. I basically just started with a rectangle and then add colour, edges, etc. The character pictures I use were just ripped from other media.

Also, i know this is a little late but if Milla and Carol could handle those robots, there’s literally no reason Tails or Amy who are stronger and faster than all 3 were unable to lol.
I can see where you're coming from, but I do believe there is an explanation. They were all weakened at this point from what happened before being sent to Avalice. Plus, Tails got sneak attacked, basically knocking the wind out of him.
Some wall level robots would hardly affect either of the two considering their durability is far too high for Avalice’s robots. Tails and Amy are City Block Level+ to Multi-City Block Level in both attack power and durability, so they’d literally just shrug anything that Avalice throws at them off like it’s nothing, considering their best is in the Building Level range.
And Amy is still in the Supersonic+ ranges of speed, so even if she was tired she’d still be far faster than Lilac who is only Transonic.
Don’t even get me started on people like Sonic, Shadow or Knuckles who are both Multi Continent Level (literally in the Dragon Ball tiers of power) and Faster than Light in base form, who are literally invincible to anyone in Freedom Planet.’

@MartanisIV sorry for not being able to reply to you, but my computer was down atm so I wasn’t able to reply, I already commented as to why that wouldn’t work on Sonic characters at all basically. I will admit I highballed Tails a little bit (he’s only City Block Level at most but a single shot wouldn’t one shot Lilac who is only Building Level+ to Large Building Level herself, so a single shot wouldn’t knock the wind out of tails either, off guard or not considering they apparently can’t even do that to Lilac or Carol. Sonic is an obvious case because he’s capable of tanking far worse even when off guard).
@Sonicforce basically just look up any of his scaling. Shadow for example can react in the light speed circuit without any problems, or Sonic casually outpacing natural lightning which moves at Mach 1,294 without an issue. I would post the links but UA-cam is dumb.
This is an impressive animation and I have to say if you love both freedom planet and sonic(which I’m sure you do), you should read this fanfiction called tides of chaos there are three parts of this and the crossover and dialogue is amazing, you should check it out.
That sounds pretty intresting. Perhaps I will give it a look.
