The day is finally here.Today is bitter sweet. As I release video another tragic event hits my life. I guess I gotta stop working on big projects. Anyway thank you guys so much for sticking around and waiting all these years for this. I feel like the hype is too big to fill but hopefully this comes close to holding you guys over for awhile. I wanna take this time to give a shout out and thank you to my Studio Alchemist team and assistance animators who help make this possible! @@mastrsonic375 Ehh, Dedgrafic's content is definitely more in the style of Hyourinjutsu (Pacing, tone, and random explanation charts) but RegularAnimations matched the quality and type of animating that Hyourinjutsu far better than Dedgrafic does. That being said Dedgrafic is still a great animator.
The Shadow and Sonic training sequence was fire, they blinked transformations to taunt each other XD
That was really fun to animate. Episode 2 should be even better!

Whoever did the cinematography for the sequence of Mecha Sonic soloing the Rebel army deserves like.... a pizza trophy or something. A lot of those scenes were amazing. The exterior shot of Mecha Sonic attacking inside of the building was inspired.

Hey man, I'm glad I was able to help out a bit for this project. I love how this episode came out. My only issue with this is transitioning for a few scenes. They looked a bit weird but it's alright. Cant wait to see episode 2 dude!!! :D
Yeah I deff think the episode has a lot of its ruff edges but I only have myself to blame for that. Took a lot to make this work it did none the less and I am super glad to have gotten your help on this and I cannot wait to work with you again in the future!

This SERIOUSLY needs more views and likes. I absolutely loved every single moment of this, and the fight choreography was fantastic. SUPER excited to see episode two when it comes out. Props to all the animators and composers that worked on this, you deserve all the praise y'all are getting.

I am proud of having worked on this animation in colaboration with Kiid, due to diferences in time-zones and comunication issues we were unable to do the livestream explaining a few things, but we will do that another time time. If you're wondering what's with the scene where mecha sonic attacks a city and murders an entire army, is just showing us that mecha sonic is beyond powerful than humanity's strongest weapon, and we have no chance against him.

This was amazing, I loved the training match between Sonic and Shadow so much. It displayed Sonics speed and Shadows power very accurately
I like how you added the weather of the intro of Super Mario Bros. Z when Mario and the others are fighting against Metallix.
It's very surprising to see Fleetway Sonic here. I'm gonna be honest with everyone, Fleetway Sonic is a very cool villain. Not to mention that, he is a crazy version of Sonic who goes Super Saiyan to rival his powers. Which is pretty cool, honestly.
I think he was very under used. Now I wanna give him some time to really shine~

I am super glad you enjoyed the animation! Funny enough a lot of the scenes were originally made in 2013 - 2017 with a lot of the end animated more recently. I feel the next episode/animation will deff feel more modernized unless people want more 2013 era things lol.

That whole scene of mecha vs the soldiers took me 3 months if working all day. And the music took another week or two.

Man, this is still so good. I love the writing, the attention to detail, and I especially appreciate how Sonic and Shadow interact. This is how I imagine them after they got through the intense phase of their rivalry. This feels like how they'd interact with each other in the game after 06 if 06 were canon.
The only complaints I have are nitpicks. The really low quality/compressed sound effects that contrast heavily with the rest of the audio, and the times where Shadow's color palette switches. That's mainly it. Very good job. Looking forward to episode 2.
I deff feel like Episode 1 was getting my footing in for what I want the series to be like and getting good with sounds. I hope episode 2 will leagues better!

It’s kinda interesting to see Mecha Sonic going on a rampage, and killing every single thing that gets in his way. We know from SMBZ that this version of the character is a psycopath robot whose only objective is to cause pain, but we never get to see him in full action (except for when he... more or less massacres the Axem Rangers).
Anyway, AWESOME animation!
Yeah in this version we get to see a more action from Mecha Sonic and see how brutal he can really be

Dude this is hell of sick Low key makes me wish the sonic and shadow training lasted longer most of my favorite scenes was in that, but I loved the entire thing just even you not skipping on the fact mecha killed mostly everyone in the city that was hilarious keep it sick my dude hell I wish Alvin saw this he probably be proud of legacy he left lol
I would be amazing if Alvin one day saw this but either way having someone enjoy the animation in general is really humbling!
Going to structure the next few episodes a whole lot better so every gets enough enjoyment out of every scene

@@RegularAnimationsXD Well thats good to hear, alot of people I watched either isnt doing to well or left UA-cam but Im glad you are doing good. I also never you worked for Death Battle, that was a surprise to me. I also saw how you tried making moves combine like the green tornado with a fire blast followed by 4 Chaos Spears, i thought that was really dope but have you thought about using moves from Sonic Chronicles like the Atomic Strike. Its just an idea and I would do it myself but Im still learning sprite animation.
@@amazaine8743 Yeah working for Death Battle has taken a lot of my time! I need to look at the moves in Sonic Chronicles. Never played but with attack moves like that I should see what else they got. Thank you so much for the suggestion.
@@RegularAnimationsXD I would assume that working with Death Battle would take alot of time. I also never played Chronicles but I wanted to incorporate the moves in a animation like the Atomic Strike, where Sonic and Shadow would loop around the enemy until they make an atom image and then Sonic would kick Shadow, or vice versa, into the ground causing an explosion. Its also where Shadow's Chaos Blast is literally a Galick Gun attack.

Finish this series. The potential the story has is just crazy. The choreography for the battles is among the best I’ve ever seen in sprite fighting, and the build up gave me goosebumps- 14-minute mark can attest to that. The way Sonic and Shadow complement each other’s moves was very on point.
I also can’t wait to see how you portray Knuckles in an epic battle. I’m just imagining how sick it would be with the choreography I’ve seen thus far. To this day I haven’t seen anyone represent him with epic intensity and flashiness in sprite fighting, although Knux vs Raph from Hyun’s Dojo is pretty dope. Though with the way you’re treating the characters so far, I’m sure you’ll find an epic way to portray the best of his character, so needless to say, I can’t wait. Anyway, I’ll be following this and I hope this can become a full-fledged series that finishes.
On a side note, imagine if the people in charge of official shows treated Sonic like this, we’d have an anime on par with Naruto, DBZ, AoT, etc. Sonic is meant to be a Shonen anime and it fits the stories to be like this so well. It would get a lot more people into the series that way.

As stated below, this also brought me back to the SMBZ days. Its a fantastic video. I'm sure, just as Mark did as he progressed the series, you'll get even better as it goes. The nostalgic in me wants to hear the doomsday remix at least once in this but it's fine if it doesn't happen. Lol

Dang, that was freakin crazy. The animation was so buttery smooth and the fights constantly kept me engaged. Although I did find the text went by a bit too fast in some places, but it's wasn't too bad.
Oh, and maybe it's just me, but I found that the look of the city and humans to be a bit off. Maybe a bit too gritty for my liking, felt a bit off for being in a Sonic animation.
Then again, that could be boiled down to a personal preference, I'm sure there are people who didn't mind or even loved it. Plus I'm sure that what you guys were going for, which in that case it was done super well.
Overall, fantastic job. Also, that crazy looking Super Sonic with the weird eyes. Can't wait to see what's his deal.
Thank you so much! I will work on the text timing in episode 2. I know in this one I feel like certain places could have the text move slower. The series in general will take somewhat a darker tone than the Sonic we know but Episode 2 should all be about Sonic and friends so thats going to be the episode I believe everyone wants.
The Super Sonic with weird eyes is from the UK's Sonic the Comic. He is a being of pure Chaos energy that takes over Sonic's body in times of extreme stress. He's practically invincible, but he's also murderously insane and Sonic has to be extremely careful not to let him have control. This version of Fleetway Super appears to have either completely taken over, r managed to somehow gain a body of his own.
We need the episode 2 of this man, this artwork is too fire!!!! Keep it up dude!!!!

This was such a refreshing battle. All the new powers were freaking awesome! I like how usually when an energy blast is launched it's either dodged, deflected, or cancels out, but this time you see the beam actively change direction the more Shadow attacked Mecha. The creativity in this video is so freaking impressive. Can't wait for the next episode

Wow this is a rare treat usually the longer something takes the worse it is in regards to visual mediums. I am happy to see the opposite is true. All your animations are fluid and very lifelike with great effects work and everything. Keep up the awesome work if the next episode is as good as this one this should be a hell of a ride!
Funny enough I think this is still not justified in where I am currently in animation! Hopefully I get around to making episode 2 a year from now or something but I do want to try making more original animations and content. I will finish this Sonic series while making that content tho so don't worry about this being cancelled.

To be a small garrison they gave mecha sonic quite a fight. But if they had used their entire army, things would have been complicated for the mecha. Not to mention a triple alliance with the regular and the Ptolemaic army, if that were the case mecha sonic would have been in trouble
The army will have their chance again. Mecha Sonic has gotten a whole lot more powerful so he really could take on most of earths forces alone

Imagine official developer studios made sprites do this stuff back in the days of GameBoy, handheld games would be even more hot than they were.
I'm sure there's fan games now that come close to this level.

When watching when metali---... I mean mecha sonic made his way to the city, and the military came, I asked myself, SINCE WHEN DID THIS BECAME A "METAL SLUG," CROSS_OVER?
Oh well ether way. I went into this with no hopes, due to because of your "RECENT Content," but they're was some new stuff that gave me stephon vibes and thats good.

I will say this. Dark sonic vs metalix and Exor's "Chaos emerald DX" has inspired me to take some Sonic FC's me and my friends made, and have them Clash against Bete Noire from glitchtale, while tearing shit up in a undertale AU.
Except I wont be using those shitty MUGEN sprites, I'll be making my own from scratch.
Also as for next time it all depends on how much you put into it, and who's it for. I'll give any animation you do a chance, but if its for RR, its an automatic fail in my book. No exceptions.
I don't support rewind rumble, because of the channel owners shitty reputation, and because they spam shit too much, making it harder for free lancers like me to get noticed.
